Vivaldi update
-
We are closing in on a major release. Vivaldi 3.4 has some great improvements on desktop, such as custom contextual menus and periodic tab reload. On mobile, we offer more flexibility. providing small and large speed dials as well as a list view.
This is part of us providing you with the most flexible browser out there. We know that you all have different views on how the browser should function and we see it as our goal to give you the flexibility to make it function perfectly for each and every one of you.
In addition to that, we have collaborated with a company in Iceland called Porcelain Fortress and added a game.
The game has been on our list for a long time. I have always felt that a simple game built-in would be a great feature to have. Sometimes you just want to play a simple game for a few minutes and that is what we have provided. I have spent a lot of time chatting with the team, discussing the different aspects of the game. We wanted it to be simple to start playing, but still hard enough and varied enough to be fun to play. I hope you like it!
I know some of you will be asking about M3. We have come really far now. We are so close. I believe we are weeks, not months, away from having the first Technical Preview. I am so much looking forward to showing you all that we have been working on for such a long time. It has been a big undertaking, but we are almost there!
Cheers,
Jon. -
@jon M3 TP coming November.
This November. Yes, finally! -
M3 doesn't exist, this is just an old legend, like dragons or UFO...

@Semenov-Sherin M3's chief developer is Keyser Soze.

Please make it an option now that, if downloading Vivaldi during Autumn/Winter, we get it bundled with Winter Games and in Spring/Summer with some Summer Games. That would make it a real game changer too. :face_with_stuck-out_tongue:

@jon Wow, I was waiting for custom contextual menus for a long time, thank you so much.
-
@Gwen-Dragon , Indeed. Good clarification. We are talking about a TP first.

Thanks. We do try our best. We are making the most flexible and most feature rich browser on the planet. You can change it to be as simple or as complicated as you wish. There is a lot more flexibility to come in the months ahead.

You don't, you've done it already from the beginning. This is precisely why I use Vivaldi, all the browsers I've tested afterwards seemed uniform, simple and outdated.

Thanks! There is just so much more flexibility and features on the way.
I believe every part of the browser can be improved. There are some big steps coming and some small steps. Always with the flexibility to get it the way you like it.

It would be good if you could make some Dragons fly like you did with the Dragonfly once. I think that having an outstanding development platform will attract even more subjects to it.

@kahukura , yes, that would have been nice, but is a fair bit more complex to do, so do not expect anything there in the short term.

Love the list view!
-
@Gwen-Dragon , yes, we were expecting that to be requested. We will need to get it on desktop as well.
Feel free to make a feature request.

@TbGbe Sure it is... once we're done here with our spring, then summer, then autumn. You downsideup types are always sooooo slow to catch up [or down].
