Why the frequent logouts?
-
I'm finding I have to log back in to vivaldi webmail frequently. Is something wrong on my end, or is that by design? I can't fathom a reason for it. With gmail I generally stay logged in it seems almost indefinitely, and I've had no security problems with it. And here in the vivaldi forum I also stay logged in.

@paul1149 Such problems are often caused by cookies not being saved. Check in Settings, Privacy, Show Saved Cookies, and search for “webmail.”
After restarting Vivaldi, I did not have to login again, but perhaps there is a time limit?

Unfortunately, it looks like cookies for webmail are set session only and will expire when the browser session ends. This might be for security reasons, or it's just a default setting they've never changed.
This applies to the cookies
roundcube_sessauth
androundcube_sessid
.Not strictly a bug, but you could still create an issue for
vivaldi.net website and services
here, maybe someone will have a look at it:

Thanks guys.

Response from Team V. Hope this moves along.
Thank you for your reply and for checking the settings. As of now, it is indeed set up to 24 hours only for security reasons. We will pass this to the security team for the improvement in the future. Thank you for your time and for using Vivaldi!
