@kimoo , it is not that Vivaldi is the fastest browser of all, but personally I do not notice significant differences with others.
Do you use any third party AV? Many of them can slow Vivaldi a lot, namely that in Windows 10 it is not necessary to use other than the Defender, which is currently as good as any other AV, apart from Windows 10 having a Sandbox system.
I mention it, in case you had Windows 7 before, where a separate AV was necessary. -

i not use antivirus now
i not add any extensions
i disabled all kind of themes in for Vivaldi and even for windows
but still V slow , no much different between my old Pentium 4 PC and my modern recent Core PC
i wasted my money ,
i really feel angry and disappointed -
@kimoo I cannot figure out how you manage to get it to run slow.
It is fast here on all of my somewhat-modern and not-too-old machines. It's even as fast as chrome on my old machines. I suppose there could be an incompatibility with your GPU or something, or a system setting that denies it the RAM it needs.
But on the vast, vast majority of systems, Vivaldi requires no special treatment to be snappy and responsive. So your situation is a puzzle. It could be, too, that if you are operating in China, there is some VPN or network problem. But obviously, I could not replicate that here. And a lot of Chinese users have no problems, either. So I don't know what to tell you.

@kimoo
Hi, can you please add the system specs of your hardware and is it 32 or 64 bit?
You can only use 3 GB Ram on 32 bit, if you run out of Ram every system crawl like a slug.Cheers, mib

AMD A10 PRO-7800B R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G
GPU ATI/AMD Radeon R7 Series
4GB of RAM
32 bits Win 7 pro -
@kimoo So your AMD A10 is a four-core processor (with an additional eight cores dedicated to graphics, only, if they aren't burned out and if you aren't running a discrete graphics card, which you are). The Radeon R7 should work fine with Vivaldi, but you never know.
I'm going to assume your 4GB of RAM is DDR3, since you are running the AMD A10, and it wants DDR3 RAM. But you are running a 32-bit system, which can only take advantage of 3.25GB of your RAM, and that is a real bottleneck.
My AMD A10 system here (in which the graphics cores failed, so I had to add a graphics card) running Win10 Home 64-bit, with 16BG of DDR3 RAM was my main system for about 2-3 years, and it's pretty quick (not nearly as quick as my new main system). And it runs Vivaldi 64-bit, fast. There are ways to convert your system to 64-bit, even using your existing Win7 license (the A10 supports it), and there should be a way to upgrade it to at least 8GB of DDR3 RAM. If you were to do those things, you would see a huge difference in speed with all software and all systems. Another thing that would speed it up further, also noticeably, would be a solid state drive in place of the mechanical hard drive - but those can be pricey. DDR3 RAM is cheap by comparison.
Even my 64-bit AMD 7550 dual-core processor system, with its maximum of 4GB DDR2 RAM does not struggle with Vivaldi like yours seems to - and by my standards, that is a pretty slooow system. But it's 64-bit and so can run faster than if I had it limited to 32-bit.
But REALLY slow is my P4 32-bit Win7 system.

So you want me now to change my OS to an 64 bit with my same hardware ? and after V will be more faster than now ?
-
@kimoo
The system should be fast enough to run Vivaldi, if no other software running, up to 5-10 tabs.
Did you check how other Chromium browser like Opera or Chrome run on your system with same amount of tabs open?
Watch your Ram usage with taskmanager or other tool.Cheers, mib
-
@kimoo I don't want you to do anything. I'm just mentioning your options, including what I would do in your shoes. Your 32-bit system creates a RAM bottleneck, but it has the capability to be a 64-bit system.
-
@kimoo That said, Vivaldi should not be struggling on your system, even the way it is built now.,
-
@kimoo
If no other application is running Vivaldi should run fine with 10 tabs open at least.
This page takes 0.4 GB > https://gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6If you open 10 of such pages your system starts swapping to your hard disk and slows down immense.
-
@mib2berlin @Ayespy
here i opened 20 tabs now in my V most is from FB basic and the last tab is that one https://gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6
and here i made my GPU to take only 128 MB or RAM now , i was before post left it to autumatic and now made it only to 128 MB of Ram
-
@kimoo According to that, your system isn't even working hard. How could Vivaldi be slow? But if it's trying to decode nineteen videos at once, that will slow things down. We don't see what the GPU is doing there.
-
@Ayespy surfing sometimes is fine and fast , but the problem when try to close or move between tabs , the close button toke a seconds to appear and the window toke also a seconds to close , i think such thing can happened in my old P4 PC and not with this 4 Cores PC
-
@kimoo That's puzzling. Here, my A10 machine shows the close button instantaneously and tab switching is instantaneous as well. Your machine is doing something differently from mine. It is even instantaneous on my 2-core AMD 7550 if the tabs are already loaded. The only time consumed is to build a page that was hibernated when I opened it.
-
@kimoo Do you have a huge number of bookmarks, notes or both? Do you save history "forever?"

so you also have same version of my proccessor ? cause it has several versions , even have a ddr4 version , it called A10 8770 and 9700 , but main is 7800b it's ddr3 , so what's your one exactly ?? and what configer you do with your GPU , autumatic or limited it ?
-
@kimoo Mine's the 7870K, which also had the Radeon R7 built in. The GPU portion of it failed, so I had to install an NVidia GeForce GT 710, just to have some graphics.
DDR3 comes in more than one speed. Mine is running at about 800MHz. Two 8GB modules.

please look here , my ram is 2 pieces first one in sumsung and second is Micronteck look in photos well please
Witch one is best ? and you think if i replaces there places with each other it will be better ? cause the Micron one is 800 MHz
