Cycle in tab order doesn't work properly with the scroll wheel and tab stacks
-
When the cycle reaches the tab stack, tabs are not cycled from right-to-left or left-to-right. Here's a video recording that shows the problem: https://streamable.com/c8enoa.

Hey @BeOS! Check Settings > Tabs > Tab features > Tab Cycling. You have probably set it to cycling in recently used order when you want to cycle by tab order.

Hi
No, if you check the video, cycling is set correctly:
-
This is caused by the tabs being in fact between the stacked tabs.
# [] ... stack # '' ... just a highlight # initial layout [ a 'b' c d ] # 'b' opens 'x' and 'y' # how the tab bar looks [ a 'b' c d ] 'x' 'y' # how it looks for Chromium (or if the tabs were not stacked) a 'b' 'x' 'y' c d
I personally find it great, but it’s really confusing sometimes. Please report it to the bug tracker, maybe I’ll create a feature request for the current behaviour later if it gets fixed…

I thought it should be due to some implementation detail. I personally dislike it so I guess there should be an option to make cycling visually directional.

@potmeklecbohdan I reported it: VB-70231.

Probably cloesly related to (VB-69090) Not returning to recently used tab
and also related to (VB-60204) When taking a tab out of the middle of the tab stack and placing it right next to the stack, positions for switching tabs are messed up (which was fixed by removing the possibility to remove individual tabs from a tab stack, if I see this correctly). -
