@kahukura This thread has almost 700 pages, let's see what a bash can do, right @Gwen-Dragon ?:p
-
@Gwen-Dragon you are fast. Let's try Vlc to downloads Magician's Birthday.
Dear fellow mod, greetings back:p
-
@lamarca Why a bash when a simple sed or awk can do?
-
-
@kahukura I like both commands. If there's time for me.
-
@lamarca For my eyes your last one with the swap command had a missing BEGIN in the awk.
-
@kahukura thanks for the tip. can't yo run the Commandline.?
-
@Gwen-Dragon That's from the old good times:)
-
@lamarca My internal parser issued an informational msg when trying to interpret your command line. I could not run the command itself but tried to understand what it should do somehow.
-
@Gwen-Dragon Iron Butterfly was just recently added to my music collection, finally.

Dungeon Synth from England
Morphic Sun - Bark & Leaf (2020)

@Gwen-Dragon Excellent. It's from the album "Hanx";)

@kahukura That's a forum issue. I believe. the backslash is not printed unless using double backslash (escape char) close to the semicolon
find /proc -maxdepth 2 -path "/proc/[0-9]*/status" -readable -exec awk -v FS=":" '{process[$1]=$2;sub(/^[ \t]+/,"",process[$1]);} END {if(process["VmSwap"] && process["VmSwap"] != "0 kB") printf "%10s %-30s %20s\n",process["Pid"],process["Name"],process["VmSwap"]}' '{}' \ ;
again we had a power cut.

This is Not easy listening.

It's fair. I can do that for ya. First, let me play with swap.
