Default icon is a bit loud

I'd like to see a more toned down icon in the Windows installer. Bold red square is a bit distracting.

Make your own and use that for a shortcut. I don't think the developers should bother about what is just a personal preference. Everyone is going to have different opinions about such things.

I agree, everyone has different opinions. I'm voicing mine. It is not up to me what the developers use their time for. Nevertheless, I'm under the opinion that they are requesting feedback. That is what betas are for.

Large red square with a stylized white V.
It is the large red square that I'm "complaining" about. Large red things on my taskbar grab my attention unnecessarily. I'll learn to tune it out eventually. I'm sure someone at DeviantArt would be thrilled to have the opportunity to design an alternative.

Just one more comment about this. Vivaldi looks great, I like how it adapts the window to the color theme of the website.
With that in mind, I want to do the same on my desktop or taskbar. i.e. have a selection of icons compiled into the exe so that I can right click and change the icon. The red one, as I said, is too loud. Just my opinion, not a criticism.
I found a nice blue png file here and used it as a custom icon. I'd like to be able to do that without searching the web for alternatives.

Cudos to Winareo, from whom I learned about Vivalidi.

Is the "large" part that I don't get. Where that large part is supposed to be?
The only large V icon I've ever seen is on MacOS Installer.
Anyway My opera 12 icon is Yellow since the stone age, you can do the same with vivaldi's one.
-
Well you can basically change ALL the icons in Windows at your will, like the_solutor did for his Opera 12
Create and edit a copy of it with GIMP, then just set and use it..Well that's just a first step.
My Opera is Yellow everywhere, a resource editor is needed for that.
