another series of Vivaldi in Qt C++ , will be wonderful
-
I really Hope and wish from Vivaldi team to create another series of Vivaldi created in Qt C++ like Otter , it will be too faster and lite and wonderful , it's just the most of what a lot of peoples wait such.
i said Hope and Wish cause i'm so sure that this won't happened cause all Vivaldi team will keep say Chrome Chrome Chromium Chrome !
WHAT !! what Chrome exactly ? i dislike it , it's peace heavy metal , it take all Ram what so ever was the PC ram is
please
i say create another series and not to leave Chroumiam series
i really Hope
Thanks and respect -
@kimoo You should really realize that Vivaldi team is a small team. They couldn't create their own rendering engine, so they had to use one from someone else. Then, it was decided to use Blink, hence Vivaldi is chromium-based.
You can dream and imagine whatever you want. But it's completely unrealistic to believe a small team would create, beside a chromium-based browser, another one based on different technologies.
If you want a browser based on Qt, try Falkon (but it's also chromium-based).

all Chromium based browsers is a peace of shit
it will be better from Vivaldi team to save it's time and power to built a new Series of Vivaldi in Qt , like otter , look how much fast it's .
this is an only wish , that's all
thanks anyway:face_with_cold_sweat: :face_with_cold_sweat: -

So why wasting your time with Vivaldi? Try to find a browser that fits your needs.
this is only a wish
I understood that. A wish that will never be fulfilled. I really doubt it happens one day

i already tries , but i not find any as same as Opera12x with it's exact features , there is Otter it's good but still needs little update in somethings

@kimoo You know that Otter Browser is based on QtWebEngine, which itself is based on... Chromium, right?
Qt provides tools and abstractions for a lot things, and the way they work for their browser engine is by providing a wrapper around Chromium, with small adaptations.
But yes, even Otter IS Chromium based. As a matter of fact, building a new modern web engine from scratch is nearly impossible. Even the only "maintenance" of such a web engine is a tremendous task, and huge companies like Microsoft have give up and switched their own browser to Chromium.
Speaking about Vivaldi, the engine is built over Chromium, but the main interface is using web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS, ...).
For the moment, it may not be the most efficient technologies when speaking about pure benchmark perfs of CPU/RAM. So there is truth when you say that Vivaldi is not the lightest or fastest browser on these criteria. However, these tehcnologies have other advantages: they are very flexible, and allow quick and simple integration and customization. It increases dev team efficiency, and allow faster dev and innovation even for a small team.
User can also modify the browser, allowing advanced customization, without the need to re-compile anything. And finally, the "efficiency" and the feeling of "fast and responsiveness" is not only about some CPU cycles less, it is also about great user interface and clever UI / workflow. And I think that Vivaldi's answer to these problematics may not be that bad
But yes, Vivaldi is not alone, yes there are plenty of other browsers with different ideas / conception, and this is a good thing! Just choose whatever suits you the most.

@Gwen-Dragon @JohnConnorBear
First i'm sorry if i talked bad about product , i just was angry cause i see Vivaldi is not as fast as other browser , even last version of Opera it self is a faster than Vivaldi witch is also built in Chrome.
Otter is much faster than Vivadi , UR BROWSER is faster , old opera12x ofcourse is much faster of all other browsers , i just left it cause it needs a small update of it's javascript engine but Opera stopped updating it .
don't tell me go and use other browser , i not mean to talk bad about it , i mean to make it more faster and usable for us , i see inside chrome things that normal peoples will never use it , like VR and some other apps built inside the UI like image capture or supporting USB or gamepad and some other , all of those no needed " APIs " lauded in PC Ram and CPU so the browser be slow cause of those no needed stuff .
i hope now you understand me -
@JohnConnorBear i'm not programmer , i can't talk deeply about those stuff , just open old Opera12.18 and see how much it's , i just wish i can see Vivaldi as this Opera.
or at lest tell me how can i manully update or install new updated javascript engine to Opera so it can run modern sites
tell me in privet message please i will be happy if you helped me for this , i'm not able to go to Opera sites forums -
@JohnConnorBear all those understood .
but my browsing is just 2 or 3 sites only nothing more ,
the site work normal , but they changed something inside it so it dose not work normally
so i was wish to replace the js engine in opera folder with the new one so it may be run better
there is something called " User javascript folder "
From where i can get this ? -
I feel like i've gone back 10 years, all obsessed with a hundredth of a second less loading the page and not considering the dozens of extra clicks to make, perhaps, the things Vivaldi does with a tenth of the clicks.
