Configurable menus and full page notes manager – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1921.3

@npro How pessimistic! I'm pretty sure context menus in general (all of them) will be customizable in time.
-
Please, don't release the stable version before fixing VB-66410 (Going fullscreen in one window hides the sidebar of every other window)
I never thought that could be so annoying to deal with
Also, clock's date wasn't properly fixed, VB-67686 (Missing month and year in clock's date) -
@Ayespy Well if you are sure then you 'd have to know something more so this is good news indeed. I wonder though how they are going to cover all those menu possibilities (right-click on links, images, empty space, address bar, etc) in the Settings page , or even if it makes so much sense investing a lot (I assume) of time and effort on those -secondary in terms of importance I'd say- menus.
-
@csablak Quite a big mistake because it makes it impossible to define new gestures.
(VB-67265) Add Mouse Gesture Command Selection Droplist Broken
-
@gabevilela They have to release stable builds according to a schedule. Although every effort is made to fix bugs before release, some will always remain broken in the Stable build.
-
@npro I don't know the details. I only know every important menu was customizable in ClassicOpera, that the aim here is to achieve customizable menus, and that the Main Menu is only the first step.
-
@Ayespy This customizable menu affect only the Horizontal Menu or also the "sub-menu" achieveable with v-button/hamburger icon?
[I didn't updated yet ] -
@Hadden89 Both, independantly.
-
-
@Folgore101 Cool. I already love this feature. And sadly a lot of softwares have lost it
-
@luetage: It was the main request in the most desired function https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/24123/allow-editing-of-menus?page=1
-
Native notifications in Windows 10's Action Center are still broken. 3.0.1874.27 works. There was a regression after that.
-
(VB-67762) Rocker Gestures Work on Tab when Settings Dialog is Active
Does not affect the latest Stable build
- Enable Rocker Gestures
- Open a tab and add some browsing history
- Verify that Rocker Gestures work for Back/Forward
- Open the Settings Dialog
- Execute Rocker Gestures
Tab history navigates behind the Settings dialog.
-
@Hadden89 Yes - the Main Menu, irrespective of whether you use the Horizontal view or the Button view.
-
@pesala: According to these, did you report a bug? Then thanks.
-
Really looking forward to when this configurable menus feature reaches Stable. Gotta love good UI customization, and hope it will be even better in the future.
-
Unfortunately the bug introduced last Snapshot persists with this one... UI is ~10% enlarged, necessitating manually shrinking it in Settings to 90% [to approximate the old 100%], but in so-doing once more [intermittently, randomly] breaking the uMatrix UI.
-
@Steffie Yeah. Affecting some Linux distros, and not others. My Mint 19 Cinnamon installs are not affected. I don't know if it's the distros or the DEs that are affected.

@AltCode said in Configurable menus and full page notes manager – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1921.3:
trying to add/remove anything from there is not possible
Maybe i should begin eating brekkie at Milliways, because it seems viable for me. Here's mine atm:
Maybe i have misunderstood you?

@npro said in Configurable menus and full page notes manager – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1921.3:
"Notes" was added to the Navigation Bar so from there you can edit them, or by double-clicking on a note in the Panel.
What is the
Navigation Bar
please?
All that happens for me when i
double-clicking on a note in the Panel
is that the note opens in a standard tab, at its linked url. It is not in any kind of edit mode.
