How to rescue a browse session?
-
In the old Opera, I can open the session.ini file and remove a problematic page to resume a session in good state. Is there any way to do this in Vivaldi? Often I go to video sites like Youtube, the browser windows closes. It just does not show any windows, but I can still hear the sound. Killing the processes and restarting doesn't seem help.

The involved files are last session/last tabs and current session/current tabs.
If you delete all of them you will start with a clean session, with no zombie process, but w/o losing anything else (history, cookies, saved passwords and so on)

Thanks. Just played around with those files. Somehow can change the page addresses (although it becomes a bit more difficult than doing in pure text.It's pure text with some unknown characters)
ps. It seems to be helpful to delete the Session Storage folder for the Youtube issue.

If you want to edit them you should use an sqlite editor

Sessions? I can't seem to find how to save and load sessions at all, like in RealOpera 12. Is this implemented yet?
(Using x64 Vivaldi, latest build).

@Gwen-Dragon:
No, Vivaldi saves only one Session.
Who don't want to wait for the proper function, can backup/replace the four files mentioned above. Manually or via some automated scripts.

No, Vivaldi saves only one Session.
But save/restore/import sessions simila to Opera 12 is discussed by devs and in todo list.
Thanks. This is very much on my "essential" list before Vivaldi will replace my Opera 12
