Vivaldi: Your connection is not safe.
-
Hi guys,
Recently I always bump into a warning. There are a lot of website that I can't reach without this message. It says my connection is not private/safe (net::err_cert_authority_invalid). I tried it on Firefox and there wasn't any problem with it. It's just a bookstore site or a movie rating site like imdb. I already tried a lot of solution but none of them worked. My clock working properly, I tried to set my dns and etc.
I'm helpless now. Please if you have any idea just share with me. Thanks for instance. -
@zozo89 Hello, and Welcome to the Vivaldi Community.
Please see this recent thread:
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/45911/err_cert_authority_invalid-on-login-vivaldi-net-without-proceed-to-link-unsafe-option-over-version-2-11-1811-52-stable-32-bit-on-windows-7Some possible solutions for you to try there. And the poster of that thread solved it themselves since they used a workplace proxy solution.

I checked that thread but can't find a proper solution for me or I was just sloppy. It's almost 1 pm so I'm a bit tired.
Some info:
OS: Windows 7 x86 and fresh new installation.
I don't use firewall, antivirus or proxy.
I want to make some screenshot of those bad certifications but it's on my language (hungarian) so maybe it would be hard for anyone to understand it. -
@zozo89 Some screenshots help. When in the Certification Path tab of the certificate viewer, make sure the top certificate is selected. Or check for red X marks and select that.
You are sure you're not running some AV/Security/Proxy software on your system?
There is also a site for testing SSL warnings:
https://badssl.com/
If you click on the "untrusted-root" test you should get the same error, it will look like this: -
@Pathduck Here's two screenshots of my issues.
I'm sure cause I just installed operation system and a vivaldi to test it and I got the errors -
@Gwen-Dragon Thanks. That was the problem. I'm really appreciate your help and @Pathduck thank you too.
