Vivaldi's PIP window has bug in vertical display
I've recorded a demo video to make it easier for you to understand what I mean:

Found a strange bug with PIP in YouTube. For some reason, whenever a channel trailer is displayed, this messes with the controls of the popout video. The bug is VB-65954, and in short, go to a channel page that displays a channel trailer. Then select a video or a playlist to play, and finally enter PIP.

@nilslorvick I confirm both twitter and tiktok videos working for me on win7 32bit. Some specific issue on his PC for sure as it's not reproducible everywhere.

@alekw Please list the websites where it happens

The last version of Vivaldi I can still use is Vivaldi.2.12.1862.3
I'm working a old MacBook with MacOS 10.11.6
It's the same with AutoUpdate or Fresh Install (by rename /Users/fabien/Library/Application Support/Vivaldi).
It's start to load Vivaldi, and then stop in the grey window (before showing the V logo). There's a Vivaldi Menu, with complete Bookmark, but nothing in tools... Command-Q don't work for close the App. But File Menu then Quit still works. -
@fabien: I also had to use Firefox to put this ¿contribution? My 2.12.1862.3 snapshot cannot login anymore on Vivaldi.com (it's still work in Vivaldi.net)...

@kened said in Vivaldi 3.0 RC 1 – Vivaldi Desktop Browser snapshot 1874.11:
@kened: "Seek forward and backwards using cursor (arrow) keys". Don't work too.
I just tested with YouTube and forward and backwards keys worked for me. They did not work in the previous snapshot.
Is PiP supposed to have the ability to click on the seek bar to skip to a particular time in the video? Because that does not work for me. When I hover over the seek bar, I see the time stamp, but clicking does nothing.

@ugly Working fine for me on YouTube Videos
This Black Video Bug for secondary monitors with Autohide Windows Taskbar also seems to be fixed now.

Just a general thing about PiP: it does not really work on my tiling window manager (sway) how it's probably supposed to.
My windows are not limited in size typically and the video is usually just in full screen or tiled when using activating PiP, while a small semi-transparent box that I cannot get rid of is located in the top left corner on top of the video. Seems like this box cannot just be removed or be resized. (I got no idea if you are actually supposed to change the size of the video box or if it's fixed.)
I'm happy if no additional ressources are spent on this. You developers may decide yourselves if you feel like it's worth to fix this for a minority of WM users.

@mtaki14 I saw some hangs on chrome 81 too... does this bug fully hang the blink renderer forcing to close via taskkill?
-
The settings (most noticeable if used as a tab) could use some attention in regards to the layout of the blocking lists. If the viewport is wide enough, they become misaligned
It also looks weird since the button to toggle the lists is no longer above them (in that scenario). A quick fix could be to limit the size of that container.
This works
.ContentBlocker { max-width: 1000px; }

@Hadden89 That's how I experienced it.

@sjudenim I use a neat free utility called Sizer to set the size of dialogs and windows.
I found by experiment that the "right" size for the settings dialog is 940 x 640 pixels. The default is less than that.
It allows for three columns of text in the Privacy section, and the height is sufficient to show all categories.
Using that size as a foundation, one can check for inconsistencies in the width of various controls, e.g. are the Block List exceptions and sources wider than they need to be?

Thanks, looks like a useful little tool. That site also has a more simple and tiny replacement for AutoHotKey
Limiting the size of that container is definitely one way of fixing the issue. I've edited my previous post with a simple solution.
