Sorry, how did I wind up at the head of the line?
-
@ayespy: Everyone else is asleep!
-
@kened: Well, we are too busy to sleep!
-
@kened: Are you able to better define 'buggy'. Also is this on a particular website or all sites?
-
Still getting two notifications for an alarm, as well as the sound. Please fix this before release.
-
Whereby was added to speed dial.
-
Why has Qwant been removed from Vivaldi? both on the RC3 for desktop and android, Qwant is no longer listed as a search engine. Please, bring it back.

I can still observe bugs VB-65744 (https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/45686/vivaldi-hangs-on-various-sites-containing-video/) and VB-65079 (https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/45236/vivaldi-suddenly-cannot-open-any-web-pages/)
The bugs are actually a manifestation of the same bug, at least for me and another user on the forum that has confirmed the same (check linked thread for VB-65744 towards the end). If I have hardware acceleration on I observe VB-65744, if I have hardware acceleration off I observe VB-65079.
The only site I know where this can be reproduced consistently is NSFW so for obvious reasons this makes exposure and talking about the bug difficult. I won't link it here (it's already linked in VB-65744) but anyone from QA is welcome to pm me and I can do everything possible to help debug this bug, including letting them debug on my system. I have observed this bug on reddit as well when opening certain videos, but it's more difficult to reproduce there.
There is no doubt that there are more sites that are affected, so if anyone has found any place where the bug happens please link them here as a reply to this comment.
Bug is unnaffected by extensions/ clean profile or installation/ antivirus software running or not.

@Vincent500 It probably has something to do with Qwant no longer paying Vivaldi to be included by default.
You can add any search engine you want.
Use
https://www.qwant.com/?q=%s
as the URL for Qwant. -
@kened: Nice catch! Please report the issue

@Pesala - thank you for your reply in the last snapshot thread about having the clock say 2:00 PM instead of 14:00 PM!
Your suggestion won't work for me as I am not on Windows, I am on Linux Mint, and I have the system clock set to use 12 hour format in the OS. At 2:00 PM, the time is displayed as a 12 hour clock (2:00 PM) on my OS status bar, but it's displayed in V right above my system clock as 14:00 PM. Not the biggest annoyance, especially this close to release, but I recall some of the Dev team uses Linux so maybe there might be an easy solution. Again, thanks - I appreciate your reply!

This seems to be leaking file descriptors like a sieve. The stable version runs fine with a limit of 1024 files, the snapshot crashes after a short while with 16384 files. Linux x86-64.

@Michael_from_Germany Hi, on TikTok i don't see any problems, do you have a Twitter link? Do i have to be registered?
-
If you set a solid color background for speed dial there's still a flash when you open a new speed dial or go back to a speed dial already opened.
-
@gwen-dragon: After some bisecting it appears the root of the problem is the KeePassXC-Browser extension. The snapshot runs smoothly without it, sorry for the noise.

Use
https://www.qwant.com/?q=%s
as the URL for Qwant.Thank you for the explanation. That is a pitty that qwant is no longer paying to be included. For the desktop I know how it works but how do I add a new search engine on the mobile version?

@ruarí: After two hours testing, I got it: the bug happen when I play a live stream. After that, progress bar becomes buggy. When I clean "Storage(including Extension Storage)"; it works again.
I can reproduce. If you switch between videos and streams without closing the window inbetween, it seems to happen. No need to file a bug for it, but thanks for figuring it out!

@Vincent500 I don't have a mobile.
Ask on the Vivaldi for Android forums.
