Nice. Testing...
-
Perfetto... keep improving it, and more importantly stay healthy everyone!
-
wow, now even I am working from home, but didn't expect a release at this late hour.
-
Right away I can see that the time stamps for the lists are showing like the clock for me,
tt
instead ofam/pm
.Comparing with uBlock Origin and I'm noticing quite a few differences in what is loaded by each.
An example of a small list from uBlock
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/master/filters/badware.txtuBlock loads 841 of 854
Vivaldi though,
Valid rules: 203
Invalid: 0
Unsupported: 73Why is that?
Also, It would be nice if those statistics were always displayed(like in uBlock) or accessible. Once loaded there isn't a way to see them. Being able to rename lists might be useful too
-
Tested the ad blocker on the snapshot vs. ublock origin on my stable version (same site). Both block the ads and I can have one extension less => better memory management. Sweet!
-
- Streamline Privacy settings section (VB-64606)
It seems to me that the Passwords could be hidden by default and shown with a Display Passwords button, just like the ones for Display Saved Cookies and Manage Rule Lists.
-
I like that import function. Imported local file my-ublock-static-filters. So now cosmetically, at least, experience without any extensions is the same.
-
Vivaldi draws the main window then crashes. This is the output in a terminal:
Linux x86_64.
-
Instant crash trying to load these lists

[Extensions] Add a way to remove the banner on the extensions page (VB-63672)
thanks for this, exactly how it should be
-
Nice, testing
Shield button should be hidden on chrome:// , chrome-extension:// and vivaldi:// pages because... no ads to block there.
-
@iAN-CooG I could see no way to undo the removal of the banner.
-
@sjudenim apparently it can't handle yet lists with tens of thousand of entries, the 2nd one says: "Blocklist for use with hosts files" so it's wrong, use this instead:
https://pgl.yoyo.org/adservers/serverlist.php?hostformat=adblockplus&showintro=1&mimetype=plaintext -
do you intend to make blocking fully featured or it is meant to stay oversimplified?
-
@zakius I highly doubt it wll reach the "complexity" of an ublock origin/umatrix if this is what you mean, but it is already an excellent start.

Good. Once seen, information is acquired, remove the banner and get over with it.
Nobody needs to see it another time. -
@Hadden89 If you could lock the elements like in uBock Origin it would be perfect.
-
That works. Thank you
