Video pop-out is not functioning
-
Recently I have switched to Vivaldi and have faced the problem about PiP functionality. It did not work when I use it in the first time I install the browser and even after received the new update about it, the problem still occurs
I have tried some of the solutions in the forum like disable hardware or extensions but no success. Any ideas?
-
@Gwen-Dragon Have tried that too but still the same. Not sure if this only happens in Vivaldi or all browsers. By the way this error only happens in platforms like Youtube, Twitch but not in common webpage like news, Facebook...
-
@Gwen-Dragon Still not working at all. Even I switched to 64 bit and 32 bit version
-
@dracula9xxxxx Works fine for me at Rolling Sky Level 48
Specs: AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb (WinSPRLevel = 5.9) on Win 10 64-bit 1909 build 18363.657 • Snapshot 2.11.1811.28 (64-bit)

@Gwen-Dragon Well like I said, all videos in those platforms that I said before cannot use it. By the way the video in your URL works
Also try with Chromium and not working so it might happen because something else in my system -
Why?
Same funktion YouTube
-
... then it make sense to try to disable hardware acceleration > vivaldi://settings/webpages/
Cheers, mib
-
@Gwen-Dragon , perhaps this is why I had an AMD update yesterday, although I had no problems before.
-
This is an issue with Vivaldi not Radeon drivers. Before installing the latest update from vivaldi I had no issues but after installing it.... popup videos are not working for me as well.
https://imgur.com/a/G2YVeWDI have absolutely no problems with other browsers.
-
I have same problem, but for me the YouTube site is working, but for example on Twitch.tv, the picture in picture is not working....just black screen. Tried disabling HW acceleration and it didn't help.
Everything was working correctly before this update.
-
@rakakak , works for me
-
I am not sure how...but everything fixed itself...picture in picture is working again
-
I forgot to say that the pop-out screen while it is blank, it cannot be moved, sized or interact too. Besides I'm using nVIDIA GeForce GT 430, which might be discontinued for updates

@dracula9xxxxx a mi me pasaba lo mismo y descubrí que solo hay que reproducir un video en formato vertical (en Youtube) y activas el pop-out y listo.
Reproduce el siguiente video y activa el pop-out.

@Gwen-Dragon It looks like I have found a video that can be used by video pop-out function, thanks to men below who does not use English: https://youtu.be/FoMlSB6ftQg. The video is put in vertical position.
Hope that can help you diagnose the problem -
Apparently if you have dual screens it works on the primary monitor and not the secondary.

I believe it can be this configuration. Here it was configured to always give preference to the AV1. After I put an automatic mode, Pop-out worked.
-
@esquerdados Do you know where is that settings? It is not in Vivaldi settings
-
YouTube always put automatic so that is not the solution for me
