Recent Forum update brought a Blue color scheme?
-
Today's update of the forum software introduced a blue color scheme to me instead of the more eye pleasing red one. I can only hope it's temporary as I preferred the red one much better.
Cheers,
Jörg -
I kind of like the blue, at least as a temporary change. Maybe there will be something in Settings and we will be able to select different schemes.

Blue hyperlinks!? What is this - 1993?? :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_closed_eyes:
Then again:
https://alistapart.com/blog/post/why-are-links-blue/
Red and green are the colours most affected by colour-vision deficiency. Almost no one has a blue deficiency. Accordingly, nearly everyone can see blue, or, more accurately, almost everyone can distinguish blue as a colour different from others. It was pure good luck that the default colour of hyperlinks is blue with underlining.Being slightly red-green colourblind myself, I can understand that.
The blue Vivaldi icon is more disturbing

@luetage has programmed an extension which allows you to change the layout of the Vivaldi Forum:

@stardepp The basic functions shall be extensible but the start should be at least the red Logo
-
Maybe all the blue are announcing they're having a baby boy... called M... Ma...
-
https://viv/aldi.com still has a red icon.
-
The Vivaldi Blog still uses the red icon, and does not yet have a separate page for Mobile Snapshots. Maybe the forum update is not yet complete?
Since I am Moderate Deutan colour-blind, blue for the links suits me just fine. Other Forums also use blue links. It is more or less a standard colour as far as I know.
The initial shock will soon wear off.

With today’s update, we indeed changed the community color and moved away from the browser red to make it easier for people to see the difference between the community sites (blue) versus the browser site (red). It’s not been deployed to the webmail page yet and will come later. Really sorry if it’s not everyone's favorite color, we can only hope that you’ll appreciate it more with time.

@gaelle But, Dear, the Vivaldi Logo should remain red, don't you think?
-
The forum changes seem good to me, I see now a new division comment between posts when there are several days between them, like "ABOUT A MONTH LATER" and in profile I can see now "Best posts" and "Latest posts".
Blue theme for links is nice for me. -
@gaelle
I don't mind the color, but please, put the link to the V blog back to the header. -
the blue theme, ok, I'll get used to it, but the blue favicon in my bookmarkbar... very irritating
-
Prefer the red to the blue, but one other thing I notice is that forums with new posts have black titles in the index, while forums with no new posts have... very dark grey titles.
-
I liked the idea of first displaying the list of Best posts followed by Latest post in the user profile.

You didn't think I would forget to mention it , did you?

I like blue, better than the Dracula color sheme for my old eyes.
I have a similar sheme black, with blue and turquoise letters also in the Windows desktop.
Matter of preferences of each. -
Blue is great for me. I'm pretty colourblind and most colours look the same to me, although I'm aware that blue and purple (which look the same as each other to me) are different from all the other colours. So I can tell that something is blue or purple, (although I still can't tell which one of those it is)!

@jamesbeardmore , I am not colorblind, but quite blinded by age and I have to stick my nose almost to the screen to be able to read it and I find for this the combination of dark background and light letter and blue letter more nice and readable than black on white background, which leaves me even blinder, like try to see mosquitoes against the sun.
