Blocking 3rd Party
-
This thread originates from uMatrix block of Cookes, Style Sheets (CSS) and various media. It is apparent that it is fully possible to intercept names, and code - but nobody seems to discuss what to do.
We can peg DNS lookup - make our own C library:gethostid( *char[] );
so that phishing becomes very difficult - you can be in charge of what IP address your bank has and which server you use. We can then block attempts to redirect to other sites.
But when we come to a site, "Vivaldi" we can allow this to consider the ".net" and ".com" and ".org" to be the same - by simple rules - why nor make the rules and include these in Vivaldi.
The next is "What to respond" to the various cookies - tell Facebook "I will get back .. later." - and that Vivaldi is not Chrome.
Please make a thread where net names, basic net functionality can be discussed. We must take the net back to sanity. It is not coming back on its own. -
