Running snapshot and stable at same time causing issues?
-
I have the latest versions of both stable and snapshot. I've recently begun running both at the same time, for two different purposes. And only since then have I been getting regular occurrences of the following issue:
Sometimes after closing one or both versions, when I open it again it doesn't retain the last session. It launches with the start page, and minimized. This can happen with either version; it doesn't seem to affect one version more than the other.
Someone gave me the solution to that a few days ago: go into Task Manager and end task on the Vivaldi entries that are still there. So that's what I do, and I have to rebuild my pinned tabs and working tabs.So I'm wondering now if I should not be running stable and snapshot at the same time? Is this a known issue, or maybe a common sense one? lol
The reason I started doing it that way is because for some reason on my system, other browsers are way too slow to launch, and sometimes hang when doing various things. Vivaldi has proven to be very good at staying fast, so I prefer staying there. But maybe I should have only one version open at at time. Any advice on this?

@JoelYoung Simple answer: No.
Stable & SS can be securely installed side by side. -

Sometimes, a (really rare) rare bug on snapshot/stable channel could cause "ghost processes" and the "task manager workaround" helps. But is something that shouldn't happen so would be a bug.
Lets say the using both a stable and a development (snapshot) at the same time version could be considered "a risk factor".
Just report when it happens as they are meant to be working side by side.when I open it again it doesn't retain the last session
I also have seen it sometimes. But I rarely open the stable, and I usually follow the snapshot channel partially: RCs and some interim builds (which also is a "risk factor").
