Happy Holidays to all the community and especially to the team - get some well-deserved R&R and you'll be back in fine form in 2020! :kissing_cat_face_with_closed_eyes:
We feel we have an obligation to question the rules, change them for the better, raise the bar, play a different game, and play it better than anyone thinks is possible.
And that's exactly why I will continue to support this company in whatever way I'm able to

Happy holidays to the entire Vivaldi team & community!
I already know we'll have lots of nice surprises in 2020!

@Chas4 I comply to nearly every word you've written except the doctor. If I can turn your wish, I'd make it an eye-catcher instead. It's just wording I know, but some of us rely on help by others. So the browser should assist us getting life managed and not seeing the doctor after we do.
I know your words are meant warm and welcome - just some thoughts.

Thank you for the greatest web browser! Possibly the best, definitively the most user centric with the highest customization level and features built in, and most important, bending the big tech rules and not treating its users as lab monkeys with a tag number and behavioral pattern daily log recordings. Netscape and Mozilla started the web browser revolution, original Opera leaded with most the innovative ideas and Vivaldi is now standing out between all the current web browsers. Unfortunately Mozilla became today a train wreck, getting its funding mainly from the big G, scrambling to get some income with new shady features. And sadly, slowly but steady, chrome code from all watching g00gle is becoming woven into all Internet web. Other than ungoogled Chromium, users caring about their privacy have nothing to choose from. But Vivaldi grew as the better alternative. Even that not sure how much extra exposure it has to the original Gchrome tracking code, compared with ungoogled Chromium which removed even the G store link address from its code. Trusting that Vivaldi devs. got out as much as possible from the g00gle tracking bits.
From about 30 extensions on ungoogled Chromium, with Vivaldi I could reduce these to half and even get more great features to maximize web browsing and computer work productivity: last tab switching on click, side panel, the best start page, colored tabs, page tilling, tab stacking, web panels, the great quick commands, notes, a normal size address font, themes and even option to choose how hidden extensions are shown and set corners round for address and tab bar!!
Wishing Vivaldi to stay strong and find ways to get funds from its partners without selling its users. Even that this is not an easy task. Users data is today's world currency. If Vivaldi business partners cannot get this, they should have better incentives to support a great innovative web browser and its dev. team.
And Vivaldi users to understand that two new extra tiles on Start Page is not a such big thing to fuss about. They can easily be removed.
Long live Vivaldi browser, get stronger and bigger exposure to more users in 2020! And Vivaldi Blog posts are really enjoyable, with great insides and information about web technologies from devs. -
