Wrapping up for release – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1745.9

@npro said in Wrapping up for release – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1745.9:
OK there's a new bug in town, if you drag a tab out of the current window, it's not there in the new window, which is blank with no tabs at all.
It happens if I drag a tab INSIDE the page in the same window, but the dragged tab remains where it was. Definately a bug.
If I drag the tab in the desktop or in another Vivaldi window tab bar it gets moved correctly. -
@iAN-CooG yep, exactly how it happens, I have the window maximized all the time and so the drag "out" is always made "inside the screen" for me, thanks.
-
@potmeklecbohdan I think I based it in part on "OneStepBack", but did some customizations on my own, so probably I'm partly responsible for my current problem, however, the theme worked great in the past months/years.
-
@npro: Still works for me, but I have tabs on the left (not on the top)
EDIT:
Works even on the top -
@npro: I agree with you.
Drag a tab to the right side of the screen. This used to create a new window WITH that tab.
I use this on a daily basis.
Now it just creates a new blanc window. -
I just noticed, this build broke the fix for VB-57553 - I've reported it as regression VB-60861 "Vivaldi clears address bar in new tab if tab changed"
-
Certainly not a showstopper but I'm mentioning it, if you have a pinned tab playing audio in the background amongst other pinned tabs and you hit "Close Tabs to the Right" from a pinned tab left of the one that is playing the audio, the audio indicator vanishes. Happens in both snapshot and stable.
/edit: Reported both issues with VB-60903 (tab->window) and VB-60901 respectively.

@uhm Why don't you create a new thread? I see in your profile that you write this kind of posts also in other threads that shouldn't be used for this. Please make a new thread and I'll maybe continue the discussion. (No, I'm not trying to avoid replying, I'm trying to stay on topic.)

@uhm I am one of those users who has no mobile, and does not want a mobile, but millions of Internet users do use mobile phones and tablets. The votes for feature requests made it clear that a mobile version was a top priority.
Explaining the reasons why progress is slow is not making excuses, and shouting is not following the forum's code of conduct. Be polite and state your case. Criticism is welcome, and users are welcome to agree or disagree with you.
I would also prefer more focus on adding features for the Desktop browser, but then I don't have a mobile so I have a bias.
I don't think your post is off-topic, but it is rude and unhelpful. The developers will soon be taking their Christmas break. Perhaps in the New Year we will see some real new features like email or more customisation.

I hope the entire Vivaldi Team have a very merry Christmas
