First! Thanks, have a nice weekend

Woot this came out of the blue! Have a good one!
-
Good one
- Upgraded Chromium to 79.0.3945.45

[Keyboard][Accessibility][Panels] Allow use of use arrow keys to navigate the buttons on the tool bar (VB-60201)
OK would someone please enlighten me on what this one does?
Also, is this new, and what does it do? Just noticed it...
-
[Windows][Linux][Settings][Keyboard] Switch the default shortcut for Settings to Ctrl+F12 (VB-60305)
weird, why was this needed? Clash with other functions, like the default PIP extension shortcut?
-
Now the tooltip on the trashcan correctly says "Control click", good
-
@Gwen-Dragon I suspected it, infact you were already replying while I was editing my post

@Pathduck I think that is a placeholder title for a future feature.
"Future feature" eh, that's interesting
What about the VB-60201 fix, what does it actually do?
-
@Gwen-Dragon Right, couldn't make that work, but no worries, I just use F4 to toggle panels anyway, I don't show the side toggle. And I use Alt+Up/DownArrow for the same.
-
Just want to make sure you guys see https://vivaldi.net/?msreader_shortcode_recent_posts_grid=open_post&blog_id=877&post_id=41780
I know it's on the promoted page, but I don't know how you guys use the blog or how things get on the suggested list. -
@Gwen-Dragon Ctrl Up/Down Cursor also does nothing for me.
-
@iAN-CooG For some reason, after updating here at home, I still have Alt-P as keyboard setting for it, while on the work PC it actually changed from Alt-P to Ctrl-F12.
Maybe the autoupdater doesn't change it, while the full installer overwrites previous setting, but seems illogical. -
@iAN-CooG Or you changed it at home and it does rewrite to
Ctrl+F12
only when it's untouched. -
Compose still broken (seems to work when
ScLk
used), no option for the old extension toggle...Edit: compose bug reported as
VB-60492
. -
@potmeklecbohdan on all my PCs it was Alt-P as default since v1.0 up to last snapshot.
-
@iAN-CooG Yes, but when you redefine it (even though to
Alt+P
), it is set in the storage and doesn't change when the default value is changed. -
Again: There was a toggle button at the right sight of the adress bar.
Where is this button gone?
Is the new arrow button the substitute for the toggle button?
If --> why? What is better now?
Thank you -
@Michael_from_Germany
It's a work in progress but I think and hope the legacy way will come back -

It's time to add a picture in picture button to pop-out video, like Opera does.
lol. Is that the 50th time? Please Vivaldi-Team, do this man the favor and put it higher in the priority, he is so sick of Opera -how couldn't he be with what they have been (not) doing for so many years under the new management-, loves Vivaldi and the community but hasn't converted yet, it's the typical (mazochistic) symptom of everybody there, they need more time to let it go and be free, and the pop-out video would make it easier for him.
P.S. After the M3 mail integration of course
