password save issue not fixed. still use 2.8.

Thanks for making me look up IME... again.
-
@mossman I know, right? Those Independent Medical Examination issues from upstream keep popping up! Maybe it's related to some kind of discharge
-
@tree1891: Have you filed a bug report for this? If so do you have the bug number? Try and include any details you feel might be relevant. For example, which OS (and version). Do you use Sync?

Great, and I can only update it this afternoon, being now with the mobile

same issue.

Updated, although I had a small problem. The update was interrupted by 'an unknown error' with several attempts. I also had no results deactivating Windows Defender. But finally I could do it, updating Windows (I had an update a few days ago, which evidently did not like Vivaldi for some reason). Updated to Windows also updated Vivaldi without problems. Strange (NET Framework? only thing what was updated).

@Gwen-Dragon said in Minor update (3) for Vivaldi 2.9:
@Catweazle In the last few days i saw Defender blocked, delayed or crapped downloads without any warning.
I know, it was the first thing I thought about, so I deactivated it to install Vivaldi, but I had no results. Apparently the Defender was not the cause this time.
The big ones hate Vivaldi, I think

I love Vivaldi!

I wonder what became of the arm64.deb build for 2.9.1705.41-1?
modedit correction of version number
-
@linfan: oh, my bad, forgot the 1 at the end, .41-1. Sorry for that.
-
@linfan: It is there, you can guess the URL based on the URL of the other packages. We do not list it on the website as it is unsupported.
-
Does anyone know if the names of any of the CSS UI elements changed in v2.9? I'm not sure how else to explain why the CSS for auto-hide bookmark bar no longer works properly.
-
As requested, copied from my previous report:
With Tabs -> New Tab Page set to my own URL, and Tab Handling -> Focus Page Content on New Tab unchecked, Vivaldi 2.8 and every previous version I ever used focused the address bar. Ctrl+T -> start typing a search (or click a link in the page, both worked.) Suddenly 2.9 has broken the thing I do most often in Vivaldi!
If I choose Tabs -> New Tab Page -> Start Page or Blank Page, it still focuses the address bar. People who want the content focused have the Focus Content checkbox to do that... I so hope we can return to address bar focus on explicit URLs!
Is that mod-able??? Where would I look?

Any word on being able to edit menus?
Having menus are a necessary part of any browser. The ability to edit those menus would be a dream come true. -
@Gwen-Dragon Interesting... In 2.9 on Win 10 1609:
If i set New Tab Page to Blank Page the focus stays in address bar
If i set New Tab Page to Start Page I get the Vivaldi - eBay - Kayak - Ali page, with an empty address bar focused.
If I enter vivaldi.com or click the Vivaldi box, I get an uncopyable "Your browser matters" page with the focus not in the address bar.Which is the "Start Page"? I thought the boxes were "Speed Dial"?
-
@LorenAmelang Start Page and Speed Dial are interchangeable. One is the software name for it, and the other is a colloquial name for it.
