[BUG] Vivaldi Mail cannot attach files in Mobile View mode
-
Hello, guys at Vivaldi Team
Today I tried Vivaldi Mail for the first time. Works well in Desktop View mode. But I can not attach any file in Mobile View mode. I click on the clip icon (attach a file) and nothing happens!

@vjsouza have you tried it in any other browsers? That would help narrow down if it's a bug with Vivaldi browser or the main application.

@vjsouza Confirmed here.

@vjsouza sorry for the trouble and thanks for reaching out. This issue is known to us and we're waiting for RoundCube to release their version 1.4 which supports mobile / responsive design much better. Their 1.4 RC2 version was released a month ago.
In the meantime there is a workaround to be able to upload files to emails. To do so, please:
- visit your webmail settings (ideally via the desktop interface as it's broken with the mobile version)
- under Preferences > Composing Messages > enable Compose HTML messages as always and save
- then go to the mobile version and compose a new message.
- there select the Insert/edit image icon and Add image. (see screenshot below )
If you're on mobile it's very clumsy and requires to turn the mobile horizontal to be able to add the image or file. Once selected it's being added in the background so you can "cancel" and click ok.
It's really not the most user friendly to do it, I admit it but it works until Roundcube releases 1.4. Thanks for using Vivaldi Webmail and your patience.
