ahah I read Sanctuary too

@SteveKong Did you report the crashes by creating a bug report and submitting the crash log? If not, and if you are still getting crashes with the 1664.x Snapshots or the 2.8 RC builds, please report them.
I reported a few different crashes when the Snapshots were still based on an early Chromium 77 beta but have not experienced any random crashes since late August.
-
I think the regression that was reverted (VB-57533) also resolved my issue with the super slow opening of links into background tabs ONLY from pinned tabs (VB-57575), for what it's worth

Please resolve VB-51176. This bug was reported on March, half a year ago.

There are many bugs reported two or three years ago, which are not yet fixed. The Blog says:
To help us get 2.8 out the door as soon as possible, please focus your feedback on serious regressions since 2.7 stable.
Renaming a bookmark is a very simple thing to do, and there is a good chance that users will want to rename duplicates anyway.
-
@pesala: It really affects user experience for ones who want to organize bookmarks.
As one developer, i cannot understand why some obvious UI BUGs are not fixed for a long time, they are not internal chromium-core BUGs.
I would lack the motivation to report more tiny BUGs if i was told they cannot be fixed until a few years later.If resources\vivaldi*.js were not bundled, i could fix it by myself
-
This is sad joke, isn't it?
Many of us have problems with saved tabs disappearing when restarting, and not a word from anyone at Vivaldi.
You asked for regressions against 2.7, well this is one of them. Is it going to be fixed or not?
I still have to go back to 2.8.1657.8 (Official Build) snapshot (64-bit).
Will this be fixed before 2.8 is released?
-
Just updated Vivaldi with the install-vivaldi.sh, rather than through the package manager in Ubuntu. It was much easier. Actually, disabled the vivaldi-snapshot.list
-
@ruario It must be pretty hard to live out there.
-
@erinome: Docked dev opens for me in Windows, so it can't be completely broken. Any specifics?
-
@bib_vivaldi: Have you narrowed when it happens? After X number of tabs or whatever else?
-
The Vivaldi users/persons that disappeared after applying Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1664.25 OR Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1664.26 (I'm unable to tell after applying which update the persons disappeared), the persons are not remapped after applying this snapshot.
I reported this bug in report VB-57565.
It is quite cumbersome to manually add these users manually again, so I'd like to avoid that and still have these users remapped.
Please provide a tool or a step-by-step guide on how to remap the Vivaldi users/persons.

Please help me, From 1649.4 to 1664.32, Print preview is very very slow.
-
@xyzzy: Okay, I've reported it.
-
Hi team Vivaldi, is VB-45986 (broken maximize button) still open? I emailed new info regarding the issue and want to make sure I do not have to report the issue again.
-
@xyzzy: VB-57654 for the record
