Solved Android view of Gmail in a web panel
-
I made a fresh installation of Vivaldi on my PC, opened Gmail and then created a web panel of it.
Gmail in the panel looked like on the smartphone, something like this (but not exactly):Very clean and simple.
Now it's gone and I have a more traditional (desktop?) view of Gmail, no matter what version (full or not) I'm choosing by right clicking on the web panel icon. Basically now Gmail looks the same as when you open it with a regular tab.
How can I get back to that android sort of view?

I think I just found a solution to this issue. Use the following URL to bring up the old mobile version of Gmail, then add that to the Web Panel.
Good luck!

@SVGuss Open the menu, and select the older version.

@Pesala When I'm signing into Gmail on a computer I have a choice between a Desktop and a "basic HTML" version or something like this. I think I need this mobile option that is selected on your screenshot, but how do I get it?
-
@SVGuss As I said, open the menu.

@SVGuss As I said, open the menu.
Clicking this button just toogles the icon/icon+text view of my mail folders.
-
@SVGuss Look at the bottom of the text folder, below Bin.

-Add new tagNothing else there.

@SVGuss I lost the option myself now after switching to HTML for Standard.

Sorry mate... I don't really understand, after the installation and singing into Gmail it kind of appeared by itself... and now gone. There must be a simple solution to that.
-
@Pesala wondering did you manage to get the Android view back?
-
@SVGuss I stopped using my Gmail account.
-
@Pesala Just want to inform you what happened next. I started resending email from Gmail to my Namecheap privateemail account, its web panel I kind of liked. Yesterday I went back to Gmail cause I wasn't sure I was getting all the messages resent. I opened the web panel and it was the same problem. Until about 10 minutes ago when I checked and it was back to the Android sort of view. So, something is still messed up, but now in the favorable direction

@Pesala oh, btw yesterday I removed the chat panel. Maybe that somehow worked...
