-
The previous snapshot had a feature allowing you to mute website that is currently silent. It did not quite work as expected. Let’s try again.

@ruario: Cheater...

@olli: I asked you not to speak!
-
@jacekn: We know and we are working on it.

[Tabs] Muting in advance doesn’t work (VB-56099)
now works, even on hibernated tab stacks.
-
[Regression] Zoom widget in status bar not updated when zooming with mouse wheel (VB-56095)
this is still not working correctly, the first Ctrl+wheel up or down zooms but the value is not updated, only subsequent wheel steps are, but at that point it's always 10% off the actual zoom value
-
Any plans to add button Muting whole browser?
-
@ruario: Thus I wrote instead :-p
-
@drv42 Meanwhile you can already mute whole Vivaldi or other applications in the windows audio mixer.
-
whoa youtube or any other page playing video is terribly lagging and hogging up the cpu, you can't scroll, seek through video, even hovering the mouse over video does nothing for few seconds (i expect progress bar to show up).
the icon doesn't animate correctly. muting the tab fixes performance back to normal
-
@ian-coog: It's not convenient.
-
@jacekn: it doesn't.
-
@drv42 It's more convenient than not having that option at all.
-
Still unrepaired problem with using special characters in the search bar. We will see the patch ?
-
@jacekn I confirm that it's dropping frames more than before on 60fps videos, even with animations off. Just an example of 720@60fps video I'm watching
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6Ys_L67m08&list=PLN39y5i_H0FlZSDy9TwfQihe6d57NcS1F&index=53
But it's not lagging for me, now I'll try disabling HW acceleration and restart.
EDIT: I take it back, I just restared my PC, probably other processes were slowing down my PC, now I don't have any significant frame drop even by re-enabling HW acceleration and animations in Vivaldi.
I'm going to continue monitoring to see if it happens again. -
The mute icon does not update its coloring when moving between tabs. This is only a problem with the muted state icon, the non-muted state behaves normally.
Functioning state
Furthermore this problem only happens with light themes, where text often transitions between white and black color.

@jacekn reinstall your gpu drivers with ddu
-
@nsane: what's ddu?
plus previous snapshot worked just fine, this one is broken
plus muting sound fixes that so i don't know what it has to my display driver
