New Vivaldi snapshot build. The second this week!
-
Hi all, This build introduces tab stack tiling, on demand plugins in tabs, more mouse gestures, better import and snappier user interface! We're doing two snapshot builds this week since so much is going on! https://vivaldi.net/en-US/blogs/teamblog/item/17-tab-stack-tiling-on-demand-plugins-in-tabs-more-mouse-gestures-better-import-and-a-more-snappy-ui //Christian - Vivaldi Technologies

Tab stack tiling looks great although it doesn't work very well with a stack with 6+ tabs.

I am finding this to be a very nice SS because of the UI speed increase. I am really enjoying your work. Thank you. I can hardly believe how fast you are improving the browser. This is even more surprising given how the new Opera continues to develop at a snails pace. How they accomplish so little with a much larger group of developers is quite surprising.

agreed with you

I liking the new UI response time.

Am I the only one who does not see any speed improvement? Now I can even see tabs change color before the address bar.
I don't like the new UI changes either. At first, I thought that the thin line in progress bar was a glitch and also took me a while to find out the new background tab loading animation because of its very light color.
Also I prefer the old look of speed dial.Anyway, thank you for keeping this fast rate of development.

It is announced as a "snappier" UI, but it doesn't seem any quicker to me (pretty subjective). I'm on a fairly modest Win7 system and a wide variety of UI lags are quite obvious and don't seem to be noticeably improved over previous 2 snapshots.
But I, too, am thankful for the rapid developmental progress with features, bugs, etc.

exactly, snappier, not snappy. It still needs some improvements as everything. Beside tab bar placement (which takes like forever to change here) I think that it's snappy more than needed in this state of developing (technical previews till beta state).

Independent zoom for each tab is not working
