What is Vivaldi "Sopranos" ?
I dont think the email client is working right now, at least it is not for me.

The panel toggle on the left side of the screen is hidden when panel is inactive, even though it's set to be visible at all times. It still affects the viewport width as if it's still there.

I used the Check for updates option and could download 1.0.138.7
Sad. My download was interrupted, as happen often with vivaldi, and now I can't download it anymore

NO FAIR! Only Vivaldi "Sopranos" can have the .7 build? How do I get in THAT club? IWANTIWANTIWANTIWANT!!!
I tried auto-installing the update (1.0.138.7), but kept getting that pesky log-in panel. A download box first popped up with the green scrolling status bar, then the log-in box appeared on top of it. Unfortunately, if I did nothing more, nothing else happened… the download status bar just kept scrolling, but no download occurred. If I entered my Vivaldi username and PW, it immediately re-asked for them. After a couple of attempt, the download box suddenly showed an error message that Internet connection had been interrupted, and that was the end of that.
I guess we're not of the "chosen" few like @helsten2. I never could sing sopranno anyhow...

Yaaay, the bookmark manager works again
How do you mean? How was it broken?
I'm talking about the vivaldi://bookmarks page. In every version prior to this (except for some versions before Tech Demo 2), it didn't display any bookmarks and it was missing sorting and exporting options for me. That all works again now.

Pretty much same thing here - except it will let me try and then stick its tongue out at me as many times as I like.

Updating resulted in a problem because Vivaldi was running. I had to close Vivalidi to complete the update. The old versions folder was not deleted as it used to be.
Is that supposed to happen?
-
Prior version folder is always retained on update. Always has been. Prior-prior version gets deleted.

A release coming out mid-week shows me how dedicated Jon and the development team are. They are doing everything they can to give us a top level and quality browser. Most apps I am familiar with would have just glossed over the problems and waited until the regular release day.
Thanks Vivaldi!

Euhhh…
If it says "more mouse gestures" then why are ALL mouse gestures still not working for me in this build? (And the CTRL-BACKSPACE bug still goes back in history instead of moving the cursor past words in a text box - happened twice while editing this reply!)
Did something in my profile get borked by the last build? Do I need to do a clean install?

Confirmed, was about to post the same finding. Gestures aren't working at all with this build over here.

So far the only thing stopping me from using Vivaldi full time is the lack of a night rendering mode, like from extensions in Chrome or native in Maxthon.
-
Mouse gestures have been borked for a number of people, until they have done a fresh clean install.
Ugh.

Indeed, deleting the old profile did the trick. Thanks.

I deleted the profile but I still don't have the right+left mouse button shortcut for going back…

Works for me, and backspace works too.

This may seem like an odd question, but I absolutely do not like mouse gestures; and up until now, all my Vivaldi version installs have been totally free of any sign of them… which, for me, has been a good thing. Is there a setting to disable/enable mouse gestures, and if so, where? My concern is that they'll "come to life" somewhere along the trail of Vivaldi versions ahead, and I won't know how to shut them back off. Over the years, I've learned to mostly use the keyboard for controls, and simply use the mouse for point-and-click... and I really don't want some unintentional mouse-hand movements triggering functionality. To date, I've not discovered any controls for enabling/disabling mouse gestures in my settings panel nor in flags.
