History in Sidebar
-
It would be nice to have a history section in the sidebar.
-
Yes, I would also find this useful.
-
I would really appreciate this as well. I use the history panel several times daily in Opera 12.x
-
If by sidebar, you mean the panel as in Opera, I heartily agree. I use the bookmarks panel numerous times each day, but I also use the history panel at least once or twice - sometimes more often. Having the history of browser's activities is a very useful function.
-
yeaaaahhhh plus that Ctrl+H is not for historial

100%. I really want history in the sidebar. (I thought I posted my agreement in this thread but can't see that I indeed did. Weird. Oh well.)

Maybe there's more than one such thread - because I saw you post it.
I would also favor this, though it is of pretty minor importance to me. I almost never use history for anything.

You are right - there was and I posted there; I went through all my posts to check. I got confused.

+1 for the idea.

To have history in the panel menu click the Add Web Panel button and enter chrome://history into the box. I prefer this to vivaldi://history or chrome://history-frame as the correct icon gets added to the panel menu.
Unfortunately clicking history entries will open them inside the panel instead of the currently opened page, use the ctrl/⌘ + click shortcut to work around this problem.

Unfortunately history web-panel in a narrow sidebar looks quite ugly, so separate history sidebar like in Firefox or Opera 12 is a must-have!

@MVV_ Which version are you using? The History panel is now available by default in the latest snapshots, and the advanced History Tab has been completely redesigned.
Specs: AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb on Win 10 64-bit • Snapshot 1.8.770.40

I've downloaded version 1.7.735.48 5 days ago. Nice to hear that it is already implemented in current version!

It's in the latest snapshot 1.8.770.38
