-
We have started down the path to stabilizing for a 2.6 stable release. Thus our focus will now be on regression fixes.

cool

New stables are coming fast, the release should be something like 3 months apart of each other to bring new features more often, specially those ones from Opera 12 that are the reason many of us came to vivaldi in 1st place.
-
VB-52712 is still not fixed despite what is said in this message:
@gaelle said in Address bar search with the help of dropdown menu:
@Vort sorry for the trouble, it's actually a regression and the team has fixed it. It will be available soon in snapshot and later in stable. Since you reported it via our bugreport form, you'll be notified as soon as it's available on Vivaldi stable.
Thank you for all your help -
[Address field] Various fixes and improvements
A bit too vague, which fixes and improvements? I see no improvements at all, same bugs as before.
I still can't use del or shift-del to delete an entry if numlock is on.
In the search field dropdown we still can't delete entries in any way.
Num lock/caps lock/scroll lock state still in the way of keyboard usability in search field dropdowns. -
@gwen-dragon: Thanks for confirming and thanks for always
catching me outreminding me about this! -
For the stable version it would be nice to fix Tab Tiling, it is broken by many versions now. (Maybe it's the VB-51831)
-
@ian-coog: A lot of it is refactoring code and you may or may not see an obvious change but I have edited that changelog entry to be more descriptive for the parts that you probably would notice.
-
@vort: sorry for the false hopes, the fix broke something else so it had to be reverted. But the devs are still working on it. Thanks for being patient with us.
-
@folgore101: It will be fixed for the final.
-
@ruario Thank you, it's one of my favorite features.
-
Filtering passwords appears to still be case sensitive (VB-54081). This should really be fixed.
-
@ruario thanks, that's more informative indeed.
-
@felipefpl: The schedule is fixed by Chromium : they release a new version every 6 weeks, and Vivaldi must release as soon as possible just after that, because the Chromium release contains security fixes. So a delay for those isn't good.
Vivaldi keeps a longer release schedule, and you can see it with their version number keeping low. But they have to have a stable every six weeks. -
@gwen-dragon said:
And issue with not-loading Flash Player is resolved in Mint 19 and i hope Ubuntu 19.@gwen-dragon:
Erm not loading Flash Player sounds more like a solution to a issue
-
@altcode: We have a fix for it internally now and it will almost certainly appear in the next snapshot.
-
Does anybody know if "F3(Find in Page) Cycle no longer possible (VB-40504)" is still open? I think I asked (some time ago) that it should not be closed because Shift-F3 (= reverse direction find) still doesn't auto-repeat. And for that matter "+"/"-" (Zoom in / out) also did (and in my opinion should) auto-repeat in Vivaldi-versions long since forgotten
-
@wolfram: 'Shift-F3 (= reverse direction find) still doesn't auto-repeat' works fine for me, you should make a new bug for that issue, with steps etc
-
After being away for three weeks, I don't notice/remember any major differences between recent snapshots and stable 2.5 - have there been any developments which mere mortals will notice in the stable 2.5->2.6 changelog?
-
@aronand: + and - doesn't seem to have worked as far as I can see, nor can I trigger that in O12
