Vivaldi UI at low resolutions
-
My 11" laptop has a 1366 pix width screen resolution.
Sometimes I want to have two windows side by side and as a result Vivaldi has to do with a 683 pixels wide window.
In this limited space the Address bar tends to get messy with a zero width search field and extension icons stacked on top of each other. See below example.Obviously the full name of the cerificate holder is not helping here.
But, shouldn't the Vivaldi UI also be robust towards low resolution screens, just like websites should? -
@S_Paternotte Have you tried tiling tabs instead of using two windows? Then the address bar will be full width.

@Pesala I'll look into that. Thank you.
But the issue remains if I want to have Vivaldi and Word side by side. Vivaldi will have to do with half the screen width and that could be handled better. -
The only other workaround I can think of at the moment is to hide the Tab Bar (set a shortcut for it in Settings, Keyboard, View) and focus the address field with F8 or Ctrl+L. The biggest problem at nos.nl is the certificate badge. Surely that could be hidden and only shown on clicking the smaller padlock badge.
