Google search

Unlike other browsers, Vivaldi doesn't keep the cursor on the Google text box. It's a big problem to me as I don't usually work a lot with the mouse and every time I go to Google's home page, i have to click on the text box using the mouse... I hove the devs will fox this problem soon.

This actually might be a wider issue. I noticed that when trying to write an email in Gmail I often lose focus on the message. The cursor seems to still be there (although it's not blinking) but I can't write anything. I need to click the text field in order to continue writing. This can occur multiple (apparently random) times with every message.

Will the devs @ Vivaldi fix this issue???

I have a different issue from Google search; I imported my bookmarks et al from Opera, and now whenever I input Google into the address bar it pulls up this specific image search for Baldur's Gate portraits from some time ago into the bar, which is getting annoying.

I notice the same behavior when composing a gmail with Vivaldi. Do the Vivaldi devs monitor this thread? I would also like to know if they have listed this bug and are addressing it.

I posted this a few days ago, now that I read this the issues might be related…

It happens every time Gmail auto-saves. And of course in Google's infinite wisdom they decided not to allow people to disable autosave so we'll have to look to the Vivaldi devs for a fix. Vivaldi has been my daily driver at home for a few weeks now so I switched in work too but if I can't send emails then I'm going to have to switch back. Please provide a fix
