Right click / open link in new tab -> missed option to open in new tab in background Click derecho / abrir enlace en pestaña nueva -> en el menú falta la opción abrir enlace en pestaña nueva en segundo plano (aunque pueda hacerse con teclas rápidas, está bien tenerlo en el menú contextual)

Pretty sure that option will be coming to Vivaldi. In the meantime, middle click on link to open in background tab.

Well with the right click>openlink in new tab I would like to see holding down CTRL and clicking on a link to open in background tab.

Ctrl+click on a link does open background tab - same as middle-click does.

Must of been derping out on that one thanks. I have only had vivaldi for 7-8 hours and paying little mind while shaking it down for a browser game I play..Spend most of my time reverting back to opera 12 and sitting there though.

Is there any option to assign shortcut keys to open new tab and switch to it? I use CTRL+SHIFT+CLICK in Chrome; I've never used Opera so am coming from a point of complete ignorance about it. I didn't see anything in the shortcut settings. I found that CTRL+ALT can do it, but that is quite awkward (and it doesn't switch to tab immediately) - CTRL+SHIFT+CLICK opens link in new window.
I know it's not finished yet, but wondering if there are more shortcuts available than shown in settings. Clicking open a menu is too slow

Plain SHIFT+CLICK appears to open in new tab and switch to it, for me.

All you people losing your patience over quibbles like this need to realize one simple truth: the perfect is the enemy of the good. Vivaldi isn't finished; hell, it's not even in alpha yet. Features and configuration options are coming fast and furious with each update and screenshot. Have a little damn faith and patience in the meantime and submit your ideas for features to add with a little respect, rather than submitting them as ultimatums.

@terzaerian - not sure what thread you're reading, but I don't see any patience lost here or ultimatums; just some questions on how to perform common functions.
@fenixxark - thanks, I somehow missed trying that combo.
