Mobile version of Vivaldi
-
Hello everyone, I am really looking forward to see Vivaldi on mobile devices, such as Android-smartphones. I know that it will take a lot of time to build a browser which is able to compete against the rivalry, but I think that Vivaldi will only be great, if there are mobile versions too. In my opinion you should start with the app for Android, because people using Android are more likely to try new things out and help at development. Yours, "MPlaysHD"

Some suggestions for the mobile version:
1. Open link in foreground/background tab menu items (also for desktop version)
2. Go to previous selected tab when closing current tab (no one browser does it now)
3. Reflow page when zoom, don't rely on Google's WebViews which is buggy.
4. Add "Remove clutter" button (wonderful feature from Feedly) (also for desktop vesion?)
5. Don't close current tab when back button is pressed and no more previous pages exists
6. Don't use back button to close browser without asking -

I found Opera 12 to be a far better tablet browser than 20 because one could easily reconfigure the entire UI to better serve mobile; by including the option to double-click (or tap) to close a tab; to remove the close button from a tab; to make navigation buttons larger.

I agree with the autor of this post, a mobile version of vivaldi has to exist, mainly for synchronisatio things. The mobile version is part of the vivaldi ecosystem.
But before to suggest any features can anybody from vivaldi confirm that mobile browser is on the way ?

Vivaldi Team has already confirmed they are looking into a mobile version, but let's first get a decent (more stable/more features) Desktop version, then we can start talking about mobile.

Yes. I believe this is the only way to go about it especially considering the size of the V team.

7. Don't refresh any tab in background after returning to that tab, which is frustrating when using Chrome-based browsers. It doesn't refresh by convenience. It's refreshed because devices have limited memory, so background tabs are thrown away to save it.

Full sync of open tabs in desktop and mobile version is critical for me.
Saving of Tab Sets (Groups)Thanks for rockin' it!

Totally agree; focus on desktop browser is more important than creating a new browsers at this moment, specially considering the size of the Vivaldi team. A sold start with one will help with the marketing for another, also it will increase user satisfaction.
