This bug is still present. Appeared with 2.4. Tooltip "Show folder contents" shows when you hover bookmark folder for first time.

Now yes, the extension of the bookmarks bar places the window in its place, thank you very much for fix it.
-
Am I the only one with having Vivaldi open a new tab on https://vivaldi.com/browser/whats-new-in-vivaldi-2-4/ at every single startup?
-
@gwen-dragon: Yes, I use sync. It annoyed me quite a bit and I just needed to know that it's a known issue and was planned to overcome. Thank you very much for the info.
-
@enc0re It won't disappear, until you click somewhere else. And it covers bookmark name. Such behaviour wasn't present prior 2.4.
-
@pavel-datsenko: I had this issue too, but I was able to fix it by simply opening a new window of Vivaldi. It should stop opening that tab after every startup.
-
It is appreciated, although I never had problems with Vivaldi for more than 2 years.
The only thing that I find somewhat annoying is that the bookmark menus are with black letters on a white background, although I have a generally dark theme. This pretty dazzles me. -
How about fixing the most obvious bugs? Like not being able to click the new tab button?
Also I have been waiting for a year now to be able to write a review on Google Maps and to use my mouse buttons to
leave the startpage. It is seriously getting ridiculous.
All bugs have been reported...@Devs: read here:

@lord-chaos There are thousands of open bugs. Every one is the "most obvious" to someone.

The chromium update cause my companies proxy to block my browser:
"Blocked due to a vulnerable chrome version - please update."
Now the previous version of Vivaldi went well, also the current version of Chrome (73.0.3683.103) works well.
Is there any way I can undo the update or downgrade to the version before this upgrade without losing all my open tabs? -
thank you very much now bookmark working fine

@brixomatic
Hi, there are several way to do it but older versions are may a security problem.-
Use User Agent Switcher Extension, may help with other problems, too.
Set user agent string to:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/73.0.3683.103 Safari/537.36

Use sync to save your passwords, bookmarks, settings and uninstall Vivaldi with "Delete Private Data". Not all is saved, extensions and some settings are not, for example. Back up your profile directory. Path is published in File > Help > About
-
Download older version and install over.
May some data loss or other problems.
I cant find archive at moment.
Cheers, mib

- I can't download the user agent extension, because I'm blocked.
- I can't sync, because I'm, blocked.
- I can't download an older version and install over the old, because Opera tells me it won't install over an old version. I would need to uninstall first.
-
Opera? Vivaldi it is. (freudian slip)
-
I would have corrected it, but we can't edit posts here.
-
@gwen-dragon: Like I said in the beginning: "the chromium update causes my companies proxy to block my browser"
-
@gwen-dragon: that's actually a very good tip, I'll try that. Thanks.

Works like a charm.
