Requests from long time Firefox user
-
Read the article on Ars and learned about this browser for power users, tried it and it is pretty slick but obviously it is still early days. Anyway I am a long time Firefox user before it was even called Firefox and have cursed the dumbing down of PC browsers, I have to use several extensions just to make Firefox work like old Firefox used to, Opera never quite did it for me. Here are a few things I think would be nice 1) add remove/buttons to toolbar, were home/reload/back etc are, I really make use of new window button a lot in Firefox. 2) speaking of new window when creating one via context menu the new window does not match the size of the old one (on windows at least) 3) disable thumbnails when hovering mouse over tab, I find this annoying. 4) option for tabs below the url bar like firefox used to do, the tab is underneath the back/forward etc icons 5) if possible bookmarks as menu option alongside file, edit, tools, window, help 6) control over new tab/window focus, I often open tabs and windows but dont want to look at them right away, the default behaviour in Vivaldi jumps to the new tab, please consider giving us control over that. 7) control over were to save downloading files

I think all of these were at one time or another, features of Opera, so I'd put the prognosis as good for their inclusion!

Not all of these is really needed I think. Only 1) and 7) would be really useful to me (if tab preview will be centred and will be usable for other tab bar positions than on the top is).

I support having more options in general, even if I don't see the need immediately. I may change my mind later.

Disable Use Tab Tooltips under Tabs options.
- control over new tab/window focus, I often open tabs and windows but dont want to look at them right away, the default behaviour in Vivaldi jumps to the new tab, please consider giving us control over that.
Focus is only given if using the right-click menu, when I use Ctrl+Click or Middle-click it opens without focus.
- control over were to save downloading files
Do some search and you'll find a way by editing a file.

My sentiments exactly. Give people a choice.
