Vivaldi 2.3 introduces Auto-Stacking in Tabs, addresses the Address Field and more
-
@lutzlapalma no worries, good to know. Then it seems we're all good on this front.
-
@moribund: Yes, this is a must. I personally would like to have a feature of auto-expanding stacks for the active stack, i.e. the stack which the active tab belongs to.

@gaelle
Hello, this problem unfortunately existed earlier and has been announced earlier.
The history is here: StickyPassword extension not working
I was hoping that this issue will be fixed in the new version, but experience shows that it is still not fixed

@Pesala bug status thread you linked to does not exist...

@AtHoS-HUN The link points to page 31 (10 posts per page). Try page 15

I have animations enabled, but I can’t see any spinner favicon (but I like the old/additional fill effect in the address bar).
Does anyone have a recording of it in action for a (presumably slowly loading) website?
-
-
Indeed after also enabling the other animation setting (
vivaldi://settings/tabs/
> Tab Display > Tab Options > Favicon Spinner) I get it.Somehow I imagined the actual website favicon rotating
-
Great work.
MMB (wheel) don't work with zoom bar VB-48836 - still persist. -

Actually that would've been pretty cool

With multiple tabs open and I click to close a tab, the browser is closing. I have never had this problem before. Is that happening to anyone else?
-
I just got a terrible crash loop trying to access my notes. That's never happened before. I have had to use a backup to post this.
Update
Just to follow up on the crash loop, I copied my data folder into the previous version and it loaded without issue. So I'm going to assume that nothing inside of that became corrupted and that the problem is with this release.@SlickRick88 said in Vivaldi 2.3 introduces Auto-Stacking in Tabs, addresses the Address Field and more:

I was having that as well before my crash loops.

Having some regressions here, on Linux. Ctrl-P doesn't work for printing Ebay pdf shipping labels. The label never materializes. Using the pdf's Print icon works.
One of my stalwart extensions, LongPressNewTab Is now broken. A long left-click opens two of the target pages in new tabs, rather than just the one it should open.
Also finding more RAM usage, which had been a dream in the few versions prior to this one. Not too bad, but noticable.

Hi,
after upgrading to Vivaldi 2.3 on Windows, I noticed problems with my search field.
After a fresh start of Vivaldi, the drop down arrow for displaying the history is disabled. It gets enabled if I'll type something into the field.
If I click on the "x" to delete an entry from the search history, the entry doesn't vanish immediately, but it takes a restart. Are these known issues? Can anyone reproduce this behavior?

You have an idea why Vivaldi shows up twice in the list for choosing the default browser in Windows 10? I only have a stable version of Vivaldi installed, which updates to newer releases.
-
@szczyputek Windows 10 is weird. It does not properly clear its registry.
It's possible that if you have been installing Stable over Snapshots and vice-versa, that Win10 has these registered as separate applications.

It did work in 2.2 Stable? Then it is a regression bug.
Please read how to Report a bug for Vivaldi carefully and then report the bug to Vivaldi bugtracker.Yes it did. Probably won't get to file the bug though, sorry.

I am seeing a hang with "CTRL-F" (Find in Page) in this IBM Page when trying to look up e.g. SUB or COUNT. Can someone confirm please or is it perhaps already known?
Edit: It seems to get stuck after typing 3 characters.
V 2.3 Stable / Win7 64bit

@kahukura I can confirm it. After reloading Vivaldi, however, and with the page cached, find in page works fine.
