@OlgaA Hmm, maybe I should switch to Vivaldi?
Oh, wait... -
Too late. Already using it
It's so good that I even use it as the "good example" of how to do X functionality on my workplace -
@tbgbe: Yes, true. But this blog post is for the uninitiated, still a few of them out there You could share it with anyone you think should know about Vivaldi

without mail client, I can switch to it only partially.
where is it? another promised time has come. -
@Vladimyr They promised to release the mail client when it's ready. It's not ready.

A browser that does not remember scaling for each site - this kill all the advantages. I could not come to terms with it...

@alsepl Alt+P > write
tab zoom
in search box > uncheck the settingMod Edit: Corrected text string to search for (assumes English UK/US Interface language setting).
-
@alsepl It does remember zoom settings for each site. Go to Settings, Tabs, and disable "Use Tab Zoom."

It's a switch I've been seriously considering for a reason you don't mention above: Vivaldi supports descriptions on bookmarks! (The loss of which is why I'm looking for an alternative to Firefox.) There's lots to like about Vivaldi, it's been stable and works across all websites I've tried so far (even a couple where I have trouble with Firefox). It has some nice customisation features (though I think there is still got a way to go). But there is a problem: Vivaldi doesn't support mouse/keyboard browser back and forward keys properly. Mouse gesture support is cute, but back/forward keys are what every other application supports and so the habit well programmed into my fingers. Now I'm faced with trying to work out which feature I'm prepared to lose.

Thanks.

Yes, as soon as the Android version is out and can sync with desktop, I switch immediately. Then I have the best workflow for me.
Currently using Opera. -

- URL filter.
- Proxy server selection.
- Useful action controls.
- Layout configuration.
- External download manager.
Implement two of these, then I'll consider switching. Depends, which two you implement.
Until then, I'm awaiting the promised "safe and secure browser". -
To be honest this browser helps me a lot... As a student I need to take screenshots, tab stacking to copy different details at the same time which is awesome. Thanks to Team Vivaldi...UR THE BEST
