Save selected tabs as a session – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1387.4

@rhk: It was wrong but was fixed almost 2 hours before you wrote that (within 2 minutes of releasing the blog). I presume you were notified from an RSS feed that caught it at the start but by the time you loaded the page it would have already been corrected. Still thanks for the report

Is anyone else briefly seeing an ERR_INVALID_URL flashing when navigating anywhere from the speed dial in a private window? It flashes once before the site loads.
It says it couldn't reach the web page at
chrome://vivaldi-webui/startpage?section=Speed-dials&activeSpeedDialIndex=0&background-color=#101010with the error ERR_INVALID_URL.
-
@Nisarg I can confirm this, using Windows 7 64bit.
You should report this as bug. -
I cannot change/edit Download location in this snapshot. Anyone else? Win7-x64, Viv-x64
-
@kenedz Confirmed.

@pesala: reported as VB-46963
I have another problem: Speed Dial > History > clicking 'Week' button shows blank page to me. Then I must delete History file in my profile dir to make History work again.
EDIT: reported as VB-46964

I seem to have lost the back, forward and reload buttons in the address bar after updating to this snapshot. No way to fix this, either.
-
@kenedz Confirmed. The history page is well broken.
Clearing the browsing history also fixes it. Then you can select Day or List, and it will work OK.
-
@Daring Go to Settings, Appearance, to reset the Navigation Bar.
-
@Pesala Fixed, thank you
-
@nisarg: Reported as VB-46966. Thanks @Rexfahrer and @Gwen-Dragon for confirming.
-
@ruario two things I love: QC and sessions. Thanks!
-
@ruario: No problem, but I didn't get it via RSS. The wrong title showed at least until 9:30am EST, even after refreshing the page several times. No idea how that happened.
-
@rhk: Maybe caching. We do use a CDN. Anyway, thanks for reporting.
It does look correct for you now, right?

@npro said in Save selected tabs as a session – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1387.4:
@mossman: ehm, where did you read that? Also isn't that what Vivaldi is doing the whole time? From all Chromium-based browsers that I have tested in the past Vivaldi was the most comfortable in that regard.
It's in the list for the previous build but I'm pretty sure I saw it in the changelog for this one when I installed it:
[UI] Blank page before a website loads now follows the theme background color VB-46504
In any case; I can confirm that I get a black screen before page loading in my dark theme...

The already mentioned History Page comes up blank bug has another peculiarity related to it. While typing an address into address bar with search/typed/history on Vivaldi causes huge CPU spike for a second or two becoming unresponsive and making the OS laggy too.
Windows 10 x64, portable install.
-
@ruario Yes, it has been updated now for a while.

To follow-up a bit more on my previous issue with swiping to navigate in Vivaldi, if I change the macOS behavior to "scroll left or right with two fingers", Vivaldi will navigate between pages in my history properly. When changing to "Swipe with three fingers" there is no response in Vivaldi. When set to "Swipe with two or three fingers" is selected ONLY a two finger swipe will navigate. It appears Vivaldi does not recognize a three finger swipe as a navigation item.

Same problem here. Thx @Pesala for the fix
