Save selected tabs as a session – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1387.4
-
After selecting multiple tabs (Ctrl/⌘/Shift), you can now save them to a session via the context menu.

Mod Edit: Fixed thread title and link.

We're being spoiled with these snapshots!

Neat new feature!

So if I read that correctly, the infamous "white flash" which so many people complained about for years has been fixed (will now be theme colour).
That should please a few people...

Thanks! In old Opera Presto, closing a tab in a stack would leave the tab stack still open, could you make it work in Vivaldi too? And if it is possible to make middle-click-closing work on the tabs there too. You know, it's hard searching for 'x' buttons than the above
-
Sweet - A very useful feature!
-
@mossman: ehm, where did you read that? Also isn't that what Vivaldi is doing the whole time? From all Chromium-based browsers that I have tested in the past Vivaldi was the most comfortable in that regard.
-
Anyone else have the chrome new tab page flashing briefly when using speed dial?
That now happens every time I click any of the speed dial tiles. It started happening after this, or the previous snapshot.

@buak Can not confirm.

@buak Can't confirm the issue either.

@ruario The forum post title should be:
Save selected tabs as a session – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1387.4

Weird. I skipped yesterdays snapshot and went straight to this one. My configuration hasn't changed between this snap and 1373.4. I'm on win10 64bit.
-
Middle clicking a speed dial isn't opening the page in a background tab for me any more. I have to the right-click context menu method. To open any folders in the speed dial top bar I have to open the main speed dial then the folder.
-
@gwen-dragon: Negative for all three. I just use the default speed dial.

Okay, I managed to fix it, and it was weird.
I was testing a bug with an extension that did control the startpage a few weeks back. I had removed the extension back then but the checkbox in tab settings for "Controlled by Extension" was still checked, although grayed out. I switched the radio button to "Homepage" and then straight back to "Start Page" and the checkbox cleared. It seems the faulty setting was triggered somehow only on this new snapshot.
Now it works fine again. -

@rhk: It was wrong but was fixed almost 2 hours before you wrote that (within 2 minutes of releasing the blog). I presume you were notified from an RSS feed that caught it at the start but by the time you loaded the page it would have already been corrected. Still thanks for the report
