Using Keyboard to Switch Tabs (Ctrl+Tab) loses correct order
-
In 1.2 and 1.3 I have been experiencing constant issues while switching back and forth between tabs using the keyboard. Ctrl+Tab is the easiest way to switch back and forth between 2 or 3 open tabs (when I have 15 or more open hard to use the mouse to find the right one). Unfortunately while it may work correctly several times in a row, eventually the browser seems to forget the order last visited and I find myself being forced to either cycle through all of the tabs to get back the tab I was last at, or 2nd to last at, or hunt and peck with my mouse to get back to the right tab. Then it may work again for a couple switches before it loses order again and I am once again hunting and pecking for the correct tab.

Yes, I recently upgraded to latest stable 1.4 release and issue persists.

I have the same issue in 2.0.1309.37. Its very annoying not able to just switch between the same two tabs. Can this please be fixed? Or is there a workaround?
-
@menedas Yes, there is a workaround.
Settings, Tabs, Tab Cycling, "Minimize Active Tab." Click on the active tab to show the previous active tab; click on it again (the minimized tab) to show it again. Also, while you're there, check the tab cycling order.
Alternatively, click an background tab to make it the active tab, then click it again to return to the current tab.

There is a setting to control that too. Press Alt+P (i.e. Go to settings), go to tab > tab cycling > select the option u'd like. (I've seen this in version 1.5 onwards). -
