Persistant session & tabs ?
-
Hello, Wow the grouped tabs sure is really sweet, I'm already using Vivaldi as my main browser, but there is this persistent session and tab situation : I really like the whole attitude of this browser, and the grouped tabs would also be perfect for my girlfriend who has about 30 tabs opened at anytime as bookmarks, etc, etc. I'd like to get her to move from Safari, and also for myself use full-time Vivaldi, so my question is : Is there currently a way to have the session and tabs persistent after a reboot ? I'm using TabCloud extension to manage my setup on the other browsers but I can't find a way to get it working and also I like a lot the groupings I create on Vivaldi, as they are. So, persistent session after reboots or closing Safari is the main reason the lady stays with it. I've tried to get her to move to Chrome or Firefox and use an extension but she's that kind of user who's really busy in her browser but won't go the extra mile to organize it all. So, grouped tabs would be perfect. I tried to look it up and could not find a way. Also, the tabs in background, are they loaded and active or suspended ? Is there a way to suspend them until needed ? Thanks for any infos

I can concur, using vivaldi on Win8.1 and my tabs get restored upon restarting the browser, also just how i like it. I've seen requests for "lazy loading" where tabs load sequentially and also loading only loading tabs when they are focused, which I would REALLY love.
I am using 1.0.94.2 weekly

I just installed Onetab. I was expecting that it will appear as a plug-in in vivaldi://plugins, but this is not the case.
Haven't I installed it correctly or does this plug-in not appear in vivaldi://plugins? -

Haven't I installed it correctly or does this plug-in not appear in vivaldi://plugins?It's not a plug-in. It's an extension. There are very few plugins and thousands of different kinds of extensions. The former do one specific task in the background, and that usually is to interpret and display one type of content. The latter change the behavior and/or appearance of the browser, and may provide specific interaction changes with certain websites. Plugins do NOT add a process to the browser. Each extension is an additional process.

Thank you. Now I could see that OneTab is really installed in Vivaldi.
But on the surface of my browser I can not find any change. I found no icon on the browser to convert all of my tabs into a list.

Vivaldi has no support for extension icons yet.

In the meantime I found out how to interact with oneTab. You can make a right click on the current website. Then you get access to the OneTab functions. Here you get also a link to the OneTab help.
So I sent all tabs to OneTab. Then I clicked on "Display OneTab" -> I expected to get the OneTab overview with the sent tabs but nothing happend.
@An_dz
Thank you for your reply.
Does this mean until now we can not use OneTab with Vivaldi? -
It means you can't see an icon. And that's all.
