Android App

This is what I am ultimately waiting for because I use the phone as much as the computer. I am all in with you folks. Especially appreciate the stacked tabs again.

Mobile browsers need AdBlock. Only a handful of them have it and unless (if ever) Vivaldi Mobile has AdBlock, then there's no reason in developing it in the first place.

You do know you can use extensions on most mobile browsers just like you can on desktop versions.
But I use firefox nightly on mobile & tablet and use ublock origin as an extension, I just log into the page for the login, then change settings to desktop version, install it, then revert back to mobile version. also works with adblock. You can also use a vpn called block-this totally free, which blocks almost every app on your phone even in a lot of the apps too.
So there are lots of options.

Adblock is really secondary on mobile browsers, given something like Adaway is more than enough to protect most of the installed browsers

Adaway is the more elegant solution, but not everyone is willing/able to root their device. An adblock option for a browser makes sense. Opera made a fine choice of implementing it by default for their android browser. I'm actually using it as we speak, although adblock is turned off since I use adaway….

@luetage said in Android App:opera worked the adblocker up out of beta on android. i think diversity in strategies is a necessity of a resilient environment. some ad-blockers whitelist some ads, some use less cpu, some have different controls on javascript/cookies. native adblockers can be convenient, but i doubt any system will be able to keep pace with market needs and desires for long.
i was originally hoping for mobile version. over time i had doubts that the parts of the browser i like/use would work the same visually and interactively on mobile. what are everyones thoughts on what vivaldi could do better/different/easier than other mobile browsers.
