Autofill
-
Is there a way to autofill in Vivaldi?
-
vivaldi://settings/autofill
You can also insert from Notes by right clicking in a text box.
-
thank you for the quick reply, but when i go to that path there is no setting for autofill?
also, i don't understand where the notes selection is. please help. -
@jlhillhouse You should see two "Add" links on the page. One for your address, the other for credit cards.
Notes is the 3rd button down on the left side (provided you haven't moved or turned off Panels).

sorry, don't see any of this------ I'm using snapshot 1.16.1259.3 (Official Build) (32-bit)
-
@jlhillhouse The proper path is chrome://settings/autofill.
Notes are a part of the Vivaldi UI, in the left panel. If you can't see the panel, press F4 and it will appear.
-
sorry, i don't understand????????????????//
-
@jlhillhouse If you go to the address:
chrome://settings/autofill
Vivaldi will redirect to:
vivaldi://settings/autofill
Gwen was asking you to give the first URL, not the second one.
-
ok i did that and here is screen print of where it takes me. what am i missing.
-
please be patient with me but I think went to the internal settings see screen print and still no autofill???????????????? you can fix ignorance by teaching but you can't fix stupid, hope I'm not in the second category. have you tried this in latest version of vivaldi and does it work there?
-
@jlhillhouse To put this another way, there is no page vivaldi://settings/autofill !
Do not try to go to it!
Rather, go to the page, chrome://settings/autofill .
Go to this page by typing the address into the address bar and then pressing the "enter" key.
You may notice that after you go to a chrome:// page, the address bar will now read "vivaldi://"
This is misleading. There is no such page. There is only the internal Chromium page, but all internal pages in Vivaldi, even those that do not belong to Vivaldi, are labeled "vivaldi://" in the address bar after you arrive at them. Many of the internal Chromium pages have not yet been replaced by the Vivaldi page that would do the same function, and so the page that exists is the chrome:// page. You must enter a "chrome://" address in the address bar to go to these.

worked like a charm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you so much. Johnny
ps- thank you for educating me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
@gwen-dragon vivaldi://settings/autofill is what is in my address bar for the autofill page. That's why I gave that address. And if I copy and paste that address it takes me to the proper page. So it works for me (64 bit 1.15 on Win 10).

@gwen-dragon My bad: if I select that address and right click, then choose "Go to...," that works. Copy and paste doesn't. Wierd.
