Regressions and crash fixes for developer tools – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 1.16.1259.3
-
It’s the first day of August and we’ve got a new Snapshot, focusing on fixing as many regressions as we can, to give you a polished and stable release.

Thanks Maria. Quite a few there! Hopefully edging closer to a stable release.
-
I had a youtube video running while updating, that's why I noticed immediately that we have a new regression here, at least on macOS. Videos go fullscreen but have a grey top area and the controls aren't visible on bottom. Seems like an alignment issue?

[Dev Tools] Single key shortcuts triggered when editing in docked devtools VB-42118
Thanks for fixing that one, it was rather annoying
[Tabs] Right mouse button + wheel tab cycler stuck after mouse move VB-41399
Nope, this keeps happening to me, even when the mouse doesn't move. Tab cycler gets stuck if I initiated it on the page, but works fine if I initiated it on the vivaldi UI.
-
always impossible to use mouse gestures in a pdf opened in vivaldi ; return to 1.16.1211.3 for me......;-((
-
Win 10 64, Viv 64
Thanks so much seems pretty stable so far and extension trouble corrected greatly. Have three extensions U block orgins, Blur, and Invisible hand . The keyboard doesn't freeze and I can use the browser I like and am familiar with. .Thanks for fixing so much ...a lot more usable now.

Today’s Snapshot addresses 14 regressions and makes a handful of fixes for pesky issues. Take a look and as always, if you find anything that doesn’t quite work as it should, let us know
OK, tab stacks have been pesky for about 18 months, which is kind of cool, because the problem began with 1.8. In 180 months, this decimal trick will recur!

Good work, V team
-
The Tab Cycler still remains in view after scrolling to a new thumbnail. I expect the tab to switch on releasing the RMB, not on clicking either button on the page.

VB-41971
[Dev Tools] Crash when opening developer tools with extensions enabled
This seems to be finally fixed. Thanksnope, still crashesThere is still a problem when viewing pdf files. Mouse gestures do not respond and the
mouseonleave
problem (VB40151) that effected hover events triggering (modded)floating panels do not get recognised either. -
The Tab Cycler still does not switch tabs while the active page is loading.
-
It seems you've fixed the "remove tab spacing". If so, I'd like to send the team a celebratory German Chocolate Cake.
-
And still we cannot resize the settings page. Every other page can, why not this one?
And still when clicking for a new tab, the caret is not set to the address bar. Where else would you expect it to be?
And yes, I have raised bugs for them, many months ago, and asked why these have still not been fixed.
-
[Regression] Download progress & notification missing VB-41969
[Regression] Empty download panel with download in progress VB-41700Great, thank you!
-
And still the list of cookies are not in any sort of order. Come on, how hard is this?

Because it's an internal page. Help, About Vivaldi is the same.
-
@ian-coog: Uhhhgg, yes. Thanks. I've played around with the options so much previously, I gave up looking for switches and just hoped that it would happen by default.
-
@pesala: So is vivaldi://flags, and that can be resized. Both of those should be resizeable. Not everyone has 20/20 vision. And saying it can't as it is an internal page, is just plain silly. It's software, it can be changed.
-
@bib_vivaldi I don't think Pesala meant to say that it can't or won't be changed, but rather that the internal pages have the problem equally. Developers are working on making the internal pages operate better.
