@sjudenim:
Thank you for trying.
I hope someone at Vivaldi is reading this. -
@luetage Definitely not a fan of the change to the floating panel. Having to click every time to have it close is frustrating.
-
@recnamoruen Both variants have pros and cons, would be best to be able to set this freely, or with a button in UI. You can always use a custom modification for the time being, users have been running floating panels for a very long time.
-
@giuseppe: Same problem here. Vivaldi x64 Win 10.
-
@pesala: ...It's like saying: "use a motorcycle instead of a car" ))) This option is not suitable, as these are different things )
-
@bratetsvolk It is like saying: "Use a motorcycle with an engine, instead of a car without one."
The Bookmarks Menu has the exact feature that you need, and will get you quickly from A to B, while we are waiting for the Bookmarks Bar to be fixed (which might be a while. We already waited about three years).

VB-41474 still not fixed yet:
1st: Can not open Site info in Address Bar
2nd: Find in Page (Strg F) does not openedSteps to reproduce:
- Start Vivaldi
- open a new page which is not in the cache (importent!)
- Try to open Site info in Address Bar -> nothing happens
- Press Strg F to open Find in Page -> nothing happens
- Switch to another open tab and go backt to the tab on 2.
- Try to open Site info in Address Bar -> it opens now
- Press Strg F to open Find in Page -> it opens now

Environment: Windows 10 (x64), Vivaldi x64, 1.16.1246.7

@driverop: Yes, same here. Please, Vivaldi staff, please fix this as it's been going on and on, revision after revision. I work in so many prod environments where dev tools are essential and I lose tons of work and time when the entire browser crashes.
-
@axk: and Tab cycler by scrolling do not work when the page is loading btw (an option without visualization at least).

Maybe it's just me, but...
Even after restarting browser, have difficulties bookmarking with Diigo and Start.me
Tabs jam for example and can only close them by opening new tab and "close other". -
Same problem here as well. Vivaldi x64 Win 10. To reproduce, download a large file and notice the download status does not update. It only updates on mouse click.

Win 10 64, Viv 64
Thanks extensions seem much more reliable not perfect but way better!

win7 64bit Sp1, Vivaldi 32bit
The faults I described two weeks ago still exist:Mouse Gesture:
- "close tab" does not function since 1.16.1221.3 ... instead the right click menu opens.
- On https://www.amazon.de other mouse gestures does not function, too.
-
@michael_from_germany No such problem for me.
I use GestureUp, GestureDown for close page
What I have noticed is that the context menu does sometimes show up instead of the gesture working. Try reloading the page and wait a few seconds.

Since a couple of Snapshots (or even longer), Vivaldi refuses to exit at all. Neither shortcut, close-icon nor system event will exit the application. Instead, I have to force-close Vivaldi. If I save the session, close all windows and force-close Vivaldi, it works once for the next time after reloading the session. I suspect it's something related to many tabs (3 windows, 63+14+18 tabs). Have you seen this behavior, too?

and Linux, that is master bug VB-34824 "Not possible to Quit Vivaldi"
I do not understand this. It must be more complex & subtle than just "Linux", given that this alleged problem has never occurred to me in any of my V-SS installations in Manjaro & other Linux distros.
