Treat Tab Stacks as One Tab when Scrolling
-
Great continuation of the Opera tradition of thinking through what a browser user's browser should be!
I really like having my vertical tabs on the right side. When I have several open tabs and several tab stacks, it is very easy to lose track of where my focus is if I try to use my mouse scroll wheel to get to a tab that I can see there in my list of open tabs. I'm watching the tab that I want to get to (waiting for the mouse focus to get there), and don't notice that the scrolling is walking through all the tabs in one of my tab stacks; it can get confusing! I'd like to be able to scroll along my sequence of tabs, treating each tab stack as a single tab. If I want to scroll into a tab stack, I should just have to press a modifier key to scroll the tabs in the stack.

Or vice versa.

By way of comparison, the keyboard shortcut to Move the Active Tab does treat tab stacks as a single tab.

It does? That is not what I experience, CTRL-PGDOWN (or PGUP) steps through all my tabs, stacked or not. Maybe we are thinking of different things? Or maybe some configuration? Or version... I have v 1.15, on Linux.

@rkzn Ctrl+PageUp/Down are the default shortcuts for Previous/Next tab (by Order). You can delete those shortcuts and reassign them to Move Active Tab Left/Right
I am for a long time familiar with the Opera 12.18 single-key shortcuts 1, 2 for previous/next tab (by order) and have never used Ctrl+PageUp/Down for that as they are harder to execute.
You can assign whatever shortcuts you find easiest to use and/or to remember.
