Support for IBM Security Trusteer Rapport
It has worked previously and my financial institutions require it.
It now comes as a G extension with a client on the computer.
Shows as installed but fails when I go to banking sites. No error messages...
I have contacted their support team also but no response as yet. -
I've come across this before when assisting someone else and I have to say I don't particularly Trust(eer) it.
When I looked at it it didn't seem to do all that much that wasn't already achieved by Dedicated Anti-Malware software, except for putting a big green icon into the browser. And the banking institutions that suggested it back then don't seem to require it any more. I have since removed it from that persons computer and they seem none the worse for a lack of this software.
Regarding your specific issue:
How exactly do you know that it "fails". If there's no error message, then something must be prompting you? That might give a hint as to what the problem is. -
@lonm If I try to log into my bank the login page tells me that IBM Rapport is not running. There are no other messages from the browser or extension.
-
@gwen-dragon OK will do. Shows as loaded and enabled.
-
@greybeard Did you get any closure on this?
The lack of support for Trusteer is literally the only reason I don't use Vivaldi for everything - I use firefox for all money and security related stuff -
@scaramanga Nothing yet. Trusteer say only to "use a supported browser". I am presuming the Vivaldi devs have it in the queue to get sorted.
-
@gwen-dragon Trusteer will allow you to add sites to be "Protected". I guess anything financial in nature, Amazon, eBay, etc. I don't know if that will help.
[edit]There are financial services and investment companies that use Trusteer... -
@Gwen-Dragon Just to let you know this seems to be working again.
I am guessing that Trusteer is now supposed to support the new MSEdge, now a chromium build, Vivaldi devs have been able to work their magic and get it to work properly with V.Many Thanks to all
-
@rafiki I got it from goole's play store.
Should be there as they support many international banks.[EDIT] I believe I had to install rapport for the OS (Win or Mac). Then use the Rapport Dashboard to install the add-on for chrome. Should take you to the link above, then "Add to Chrome".

@Gwen-Dragon Odd, I found using the Search, but you're right, cannot find it now using any combination of the terms above.
