Vivaldi sends location info every 24 hrs?
-
A person commented, at Slant, in a Vivaldi review, that "According to its privacy policy, Vivaldi sends an approximate location, randomized ID, version, cpu architecture, screen resolution and time since last message every 24 hours.".
Is this true? happening?
Anyone care to elucidate?

Interesting
Is this true?
Is Vivaldi really phoning home er even Google maybe? -
@benwagner No. It simply reports how many people, in what geographic distributions, are using Vivaldi. If for instance, 300 people are using Vivaldi in Spain, then Vivaldi will lean that 300 people in Spain are using Vivaldi. No locations or people can be identified, and no data is captured.

@ayespy Too late. As you replied the "funky" reply, I can't delete all the words and leave it blank.

ok. Thanks. I am not suggesting that anything bad is happening. But the notion of sending location info every day does get one's attention.
