FreeBSD

Hey guys you are rock! I really luv Vivaldi UI and experience but please give some luv to FreeBSD OS.
-
I'm also a FreeBSD UNIX user (also OpenBSD), but I fear we'll have to have quite some patience there. They'll need to get it to a level where it's at least stable and relatively well-working first. Then Android/iOS/etc. to get into Business.
I guess after Windows, Linux, MacOS X and all mobile operating systems may come FreeBSD UNIX. If at all. I wouldn't get my hopes up high on that front though, FreeBSD is still quite "obscure" as a desktop OS.
Would be awesome though. For now, I'm using the native BSD version of Opera 12 for that.
-
Would love to be able to run Vivaldi on OpenBSD/FreeBSD.
Let us know if there's anything we can do to help make it happen.
-
Seems here is a post missing for 2016. So here it is.
Would like to have it running natively on FreeBSD too.
If you have a link to the source for me I would try to compile it⦠hint hint
-
Yes, unfortunately. That's why I wrote"hint".
There are also other small bugs, which could be solved really quick if there would be the source.
Anyway. Main point is still up:
Please grep a (virtual) box and let it build on/for FreeBSD.Here are two links for already prepared VirtualBox images:
[ul]- http://virtualboxes.org/images/freebsd/ (FreeBSD 7.1 [+ xfce4])
- ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/VM-IMAGES/10.2-RELEASE/amd64/Latest/ (FreeBSD 10.x & 11 but probably without Xorg/GUI)

See how time flies! Looks like it is time to push this topic again.
So, I still would appreciate a native Vivaldi build for FreeBSD. If somebody can do it easily than probably it's somebody of you folks at Vivaldi since you are best experienced with your code.
So in case you forgot where to grab the new newest FreeBSD VM image for a quick build of Vivaldi, let me point you to ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/VM-IMAGES/12.0-RELEASE/amd64/Latest/
In the hope of some traction after this time...
Greetings

We have a BSD feature request.
It'll be nice to have soon or later the binary for this OS. -
Another OpenBSD / FreeBSD user here. I guess there's no chance though.
