Can't scroll when in full screen and mouse touching the edge of the screen

Basically I can't scroll when the mouse is touching the edge of the screen when in fullscreen mode.
Also I'm using win 8.1 if that helps.//MODEDIT: merged duplicated threads, bug was reported as

@kerma
I can confirm this issue (scrolling while in fullscreen mode does not work when cursor is at left or right edge of screen) on viv 1.16.1170.3 (32bit) win7 (64bit)
Please read the site on how to do a bugreport in vivaldi --> https://help.vivaldi.com/article/reporting-a-bug-in-vivaldi/And report the bug here --> https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/

There is a kind of dead area (even for left clicks) when using native window between scrollbar and right window border in all states.
The cause may be that Chromium-type windows (no native window border), remap a comparably wide area to horizontal window resize.
For window modes where such an area is not needed (fullscreen, maximized, native) this area remains without function.On Linux you can see the scrollbar going in and out of focus on horizontal pass over around 6px before reaching the right window border (indicated by mouse pointer change).
This behaviour exists since at least Vivaldi 1.14 (stable) on Linux.
Not tested with pre-V1.16-releases on Windows, but since latest snapshot displays same behaviour I'd assume they are affected as well.@gwen-dragon is this behaviour included in this bug, or another related/known issue?
I refrained from making a bug report since it is very obviously strange behaviour.
So I assumed it was either intentional or already reported (avoiding duplicates). -
When in fullscreen mode or in page tiling mode, we are unable to click drag the scrollbar when clicking along the edge of the screen. This is caused by the extra space between the scrollbar and the edge of the screen. The mouse overshoots the scrollbar and doesn't click it. Please fix.

This bug only happens in fullscreen mode. When we move the mouse to the right edge of the screen, we are unable to wheel scroll or click scroll the page. Please fix.

In fullscreen mode, there is a dead zone along the edges of the screen, which doesn't respond to mouse clicks, as shown in the screenshot. Note in the screenshot, the tab bar is enabled in fullscreen mode, via the ALT menu. Please save us from this horrific bug!

Hi,
In fullscreen mode, we can't scroll if our mouse is at full right/left/bottom/top, it's like there is an invisible limit and it really disturb me to see my mouse while I'm reading :c
Screenshot:
(it does the same at left, bottom and top) -
@maxks I can confirm the behaviour, which seems like a bug.
Keyboard shortcuts Page Up/Down, Home/End, Up/Down Cursor can be used. Middle-mouse scrollwheel works, as does fast-scroll (Click MMB, move cursor).

@tsunamiz Confirmed bug.

There are 7px of dead zone all around the edges of the screen during fullscreen mode, not sure if it's a bug or feature... but it's been like this for forever. LOL
Also, same thing with window mode, there are 7px of "drag zone" around the window's frame for resizing the window.

@michaelanhar
yup, it is the same bug. disappointingly, vivaldi can sometimes take years to fix certain bugs, even basic bugs like this.

michaelanhar left the forum and his posts disappeared with his parting. but here is a copy of his interesting last reply that i got from the email notification of his reply...
Thank you for understanding where I'm coming from. I think the whole features-over-function mentality spells doom for Vivaldi, which is a shame. Like most people, I'm unwilling to wait years for the development team to fix something like scrolling deadzone on both sides of the page. It's absurd and untenable, and no amount of features can offset not having a basic minimum standard of function. So I, for one, am out โ in fact, I'm writing this reply from Chrome. Thanks again.
hopefully, vivaldi can make faster progress on fixing bugs in the future, to help retain users.

@tsunamiz Bugfixing can be faster when Vivaldi can afford a larger crew.
